Very forgiving recipe, for I really bumbled through it and it turned out great anyway! Used what I THOUGHT was instant espresso in the cake, but it wasn't. We ended up having coffee grounds in the first layer, but it was good anyway (nobody knew!).

WOW! This was excellent! Not overly strong...just right! I also flavored two of the cake layers and doubled the liqueur everywhere! I would have taken a picture to post, however I am NOT a cake decorator! The cake tasted SOOOOO much better than it looked. LOL!!

This recipe is amazing!!! I think my boyfriend and I ate it all in one night and we were both licking our plates afterwards. I didn't have any liqueur available, so I supposed the amount of liqueur required with coffee mixed with instant coffee and it worked wonders. I was a little confused about the layering of the marscapone mixture, but it still tasted delicious and looked beautiful. Thanks to the poster of this recipe.

truely a wonderful recipe, better than the tiramisu with lady fingers. I will double the coffe and liquor for brushing on the layers. Its already been requested for my daughters birthday. I plan on making alot more.

Heavenly cake! My daughter baked this for her father's birthday because he loves tiramisu. It disappeared so fast he only got 2 pieces. We all agreed it was one of the best cakes we've ever tasted.

I made this cake not knowing what my skills might produce, not that i was second guessing the actual recipe or allrecipes. This was hands-down, the most delicious cake I have ever made! and my family couldn't stop talking about it. There wasn't a piece left-over. I have to say that is was a pretty involved process to make, but well worth the effort. I will definitely be making this again!

I wowed my mom-in-law with this for her birthday last night! I thought it would be a heavy cake, but I was so wrong..It was a very light and not too sweet dessert. Can't wait to make it again for a brunch dessert! It's perfect for spring and fall! Thank you!

I thought this cake was very good, but not AWESOME...My filling was a little runny, but that was ok, cause it pretty much 'set up' over night in the fridge. The frosting was awesome and 'made' the cake. Truthfully I will probably not make this again, just because for all the time and steps invested I can make "Classic Tiramisu" which IS AWESOME in my opinion, and that's the taste we're wanting after all, right?

This was amazing. It wasn't that easy to make, but the results were worth it. Instead of having two white cakes, I added about a fourth cup of cocoa butter to 1/3 the white cake recipe ( http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Simple-White-Cake/Detail.aspx ) as well as dark chocolate chips. In the next 1/3 i added 1/4 cup white chocolate chips, although I believe I could have added more. To the final 1/3 I added about a 1/3-1/2 cup of extremely dark coffee. Instead of marscapone cheese I used yogurt, as I don't have cream cheese, as well as a bit of whipped cream, which I had more than enough. My family loved it and licked their plates. This is definetly a recipe to remember. BTW, I'm 14, so if I can do it, so can you!

Always a favorite here! Easy and delicious! I sonetimes use a store bought pound cake instead of making the white cake. It's great as well.

This cake is absolutely perfect! I marbled the cake layers instead of having the two colours separate, and it looked beautiful. Thanks for such a great recipe!

I found this recipe and made it right away! And wow! I had been afraid to try any Tiramisu recipe as I am just starting to bake, but this seemed pretty simple. My family devoured it! There was one slice left at 11pm and when I went to get it at 2am, it was gone! Thanks. This is definately a winner!
