I'd give this 20 stars if I could!! I made this for a birthday party and it was a huge hit! I also doubled the amount of extra strength coffee and added a couple of shots of Kahlua to it too. If you dip the lady fingers into the coffee/liquor mixture, do so quickly otherwise they'll be soggy. I also highly recommend making this at least one day before so that the flavours have a chance to combine. Will definitely make this again!

I made this in a trifle bowl and brought it to a graduation party. Very good!! I did double up on the coffee/liquor mixture and used a pastry brush to coat the lady fingers. I layered everything in the trifle bowl and let it sit for 2 days. I highly recommend making this a couple of days ahead of time as other reviewers have suggested. I was really worried that the lady fingers would be soggy, but they weren't! The flavors just aren't the same if you serve this the same day.

This was FABULOUS! I made this for Father's Day and it was a huge hit!! I took the advice of some other reviewers and used Kahlua instead of rum. I also basted the lady fingers with the coffee/kahlua mixture instead of drizzling. I also did not have a 7x11 dish, so I used a smaller one and made 3 layers instead of 2. Great recipe, thank you!

My 7 years old who doesn't like anything creamy LOVED this! I was shocked. I was also surprised at how easy this was. I doubled the coffee like the other reviews suggested, I don't think it would have been nearly as good if I hadn't.

I wish I could give this recipe ten stars! I made it for my sister's birthday, and she said it was better than her favorite Italian restuarant's tiramisu. Now, that's the ultimate compliment from her :) I did follow the suggestions to double the coffee and cream the marscapone cheese before combining, and it turned out heavenly! Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Wonderful recipe! I tried it with 3 different liqueurs: Rum, Cream de Cacao, & Kahlua. My family & others choose the Rum to be the best. I also doubled the coffee/liqueur mixture and found it to be better. I tried it with home made lady fingers and store bought(soft) and prefer the store bought. Next time I'll try the firmer ladyfingers. I also used espresso rather than strong coffee with better results. I agree that bringing the mascarpone to room temp makes it easier to mix with the egg mixture.

A wonderful tiramisu! I looked high and low for a 7x11 inch cake pan and used a 9x11. For the first layer of ladyfingers, I followed another members suggestion and drizzled the coffee mixture-don't do this, dunk them in the bowl! I subsituted Kahula for the Rum. The one problem I had was the whipping cream, I think I had to triple it, 1 1/4 cups heavy cream is not anywhere near the amount needed for two layers!

My favorite dessert in the whole world, and this recipe is every bit as good as the Tiramisu I've had at fancy Italian restaurants. I used soft lady finger cookies, which made it just like the texture I know from professionaly made tiramisu. You just have to be very carefull that you don't rip them after they've soaked up the coffee mixture. I used a spatula to transfer the soaked ladyfingers to the pan I was preparing the tiramisu in. BEST TASTE ON DAY 2-3! Make ahead!

I doubled the coffee alchole mix and let the dish sit for 2 days to meld like others suggested. I had a little extra that didnt fit in the dish that i tried right away and I tasted the coffee mix more then after it had sat for 2 days. I would make this again for sure. BUT, next time im going to add even more coffee mix and/or use french pressed coffee instead of just strong brewed from my coffee pot. Great recipie, We loved it! And it was easy to do aswell. Which is always a plus!

This recipe was fabulous. I doubled the coffee mixture following others' suggestions, but other than that the recipe is perfect as is. I had a diffcult time finding lady fingers at the grocery store, but after circling several aisles, I finally found them in the deli area next to the self serve donuts and bagels. Just a tip to save you some time.

This is the best Tiramisu I've ever tasted. I have made many times for the last 2 months for my friends always craves for it ever since they've tasted it. I followed the other reviewers suggestion for the coffee mixture...and it turn out perfect. You really have to let the egg mixture boil to get the firmness after assembling the tiramisu. Phenomenal! I am a huge tiramisu fan and am so excited that I can make it home now and it's so simple. Some pointers: definitely double the coffee/rum mixture and let this sit for at least a day. Do NOT put the ladyfingers directly into the coffee mixture. It soaks it up and turns it to mush. So, so good!

Excellent Recipe. This was my first time every making Tiramisu. I made the Lady fingers from this site instead of using store bought. However I did use store bought lady fingers for the outside so it would look like the picture. I would suggest you cream the marscapone first before adding it to the egg yolk mixture - I didn't and it found that the mixture was lumpy. I did try to whip it but I couldn't get rid of the small little lumps. I also found there was a lot of filling, Next time I would not use all of the filling. I made this for my father-in-law's birtday and he loved it - had 2 helpings.

Made this for Easter and absolutely loved it. I didn't have the size pan called for so used springform which worked out great. I also replaced the rum with Kahlua since I didn't have rum on hand. Sprinkled with shaved chocolate. Doubled the coffee and rum mixture. Fabulous!
