These are a very good cookie. However, they turn out very dry and crumbly if you follow the recipe as written, which I did the first time. The second time I made them, I did the following: reduced the oatmeal to 1 1/2 cups, and instead of only using PB flavored chips, I used about 2/3 cup PB chips, 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, and 2/3 cup white chocolate chips. These turned out amazing! We like lots of chips in our cookies and these fit the bill. I would also cut the nuts down to 1/2 cup or 2/3 cup or to your liking. With my chages, I rate these 5 stars.

This is the ultimate oatmeal cookie. Used a 1-1/4 inch cookie scoop and got 63 cookies from one batch. I did add about 1/4 cup extra peanut butter chips as I had a dab left in a bag. Under baked them slightly and we loved them. Just can't say enough good things about this cookie recipe.

Yum yum! Great cookie recipe. This is a keeper, they came out perfect and they even look just like the picture. No need to change a thing, however, we did add some reeses pieces with the peanut butter chips just for fun!

Wow! These are now my favorite cookie! No substitutions needed. They are soft, chewy and not too sweet!

Very tasty cookies! I loved the texture - crisp without being too hard - that the oats and Crisco provide, and the flavor is very good. I omitted the nuts this time, and when I found I only had half a package of peanut butter chips left, I subbed semi-sweet for the rest. They came out great. I personally liked the combination of semi-sweet and peanut butter chips, but I know they would be great as stated with just the peanut butter. Great recipe - I will definitely make these again!
