i have used this recipe for close to 25 years. it has never failed. AND it would be a great recipe for those folks with an allergy to wheat since there is no flour!

These are ridiculously easy and so good! I roll the balls of dough in sugar before I bake them just to give them a little extra. A little vanilla extract is good too, but you can make these exactly as the recipe says and they come out good. Thank you for such a great recipe! I'm sure I will be using this recipe for years to come.

My kids wanted dessert tonight, but I was on my way out to a class. I pulled up this recipe, and had my 11 yo DD make them. We used all natural peanut butter, so I had to add a little milk. We also threw in chocolate chips. She used the big scoop, so she baked them for 17 minutes. I think that was a little long, but they were crispy and chewy at the same time. Thanks!

These are the most delicious cookies ever. Super easy to pop in the oven at the last minute! I've used splenda, regular sugar, and half sugar/half brown sugar. They always turn out great! Thanks for sharing this one!

I just made these cookies and they were great!!! I read the reviews before I made them and I did add just a splash of vanilla and a teaspoon of baking soda. Those helped with the yummy taste! I did the criss cross fork pattern on the top and sprinkled with sugar. I made 12 cookies and had to bake them for close to 15 minutes because they were slightly thicker than normal. They turned out great! A big hit!

This is the easiest recipe ever and it makes a tasty cookie that doesn't last long at my house! We've made the cookie per the original directions many times, but we've also added a few extras from time to time. We often add 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp of cinammon. We recently tried adding a single serving of instant oatmeal and that was nice as well.

I felt like like having peanut butter cookies tonight and came to allrecipes looking for an easy recipe. Well, I found THE recipe for peanut butter cookies--this one's a keeper!!! I followed the recipe almost to the letter, but added a tspn. of vanilla, half a tspn. of salt, and a little baking soda. I rolled the dough into nine cookie balls, which I then pressed down aand criss-crossed with a fork. I had no parchment paper, so I just laid the cookies onto a Pam-sprayed cookie sheet. Cooked these for about 12-15 minutes, and they probably could have cooked a while longer. Nevertheless, these were the best cookies and I love how quick and easy they were to make! Next time I might try them with half brown sugar and half Splenda or its equivalent, but other than that I won't be messing with success!

My whole family loves these cookies. Hubby called from work asking me make a double batch so he could bring some to work for his crew. Personally I find the texture a bit grainy but the flavor is great.

These aren't the best tasting cookies you'll ever eat, but they are certainly edible, and it's such a terrific recipe for small kids to make on their own. Two of my boys just made them tonight and are busily devouring their creation.

I made these cookies, and though they turned out very delicious, they were a bit too peanut buttery. I might use a little less peanut butter next time.

I have to give this recipe 5 stars because it is the easiest cookie recipe I have ever made. It took me about 5 minutes to mix the ingredients, put them on the pan, and get them in the oven! They were really tasty too! This will definitely be my new peanut butter cookie recipe.

i woke up this morning at 5am craving peanut butter cookies (the joys of being pregnant...) & needed something fast, simple but still tasty & this was it! i did add a splash of vanilla, as well as about 1/3 cup of crushed pecans & substituted the white sugar with 3/4 cup splenda and 1/4 brown sugar. i also ended up sprinkling vanilla sugar over the cookies after they came out of the oven & i put crushed chocolate bar pieces in the center of half the cookies for my husband. they turned out wonderful, thank you.

I loved these cookies as a child. The poorest family at our church always had these available when I came over. The mom even taught me how to make them. I never thought to write down the recipe, how hard could it be to remember three things. I lost touch with the family after college and have lately remembered these cookies. I am glad someone has but them here for me to discover again. Thank you!
