These are really good. For those that want a REALLY chewy cookie... The second time I made them, I used bread flour instead of all purpose, an egg yolk and full egg and 1 1/2c brown sugar and 1/2 c. white. They were sooooo chewy. I creamed the butter and sugars, then added the eggs and vanilla. I beat it well after adding the bread flour/leavening mixture to develop a little gluten and then added the oatmeal and raisins.
Also, they could use more cinnamon and maybe a pinch of nutmeg to spice it up a tad.
