Absolutely fabulous. Made exactly how the recipe called for, and came out perfect. Wouldn't change a thing.

This meatloaf was SO good. I used 2 lbs of ground beef and we didn't have bell pepper, so I just left it out. It made great leftovers too!

Five stars alone just for the addition of the steak sauce (I used A-1) which was a unique and quite tasty addition, but unfortunately it was not enough to carry the meatloaf. This needs a lot of help, but definitely has potential - but with all the tweaking I feel is necessary it wouldn't be the same recipe. This needs a whole lot more than just steak sauce! For the bread crumbs I used crushed, herb-seasoned stuffing mix. I also added fresh parsley, sage, thyme and a healthy dose of Chicago Steak Seasoning. Once mixed it was drier than I would have preferred, so I gave it a couple shots of ketchup which was just fine since I felt it could use a little tomato flavor to balance the A-1 anyway. Rather than baking this in a loaf pan I just shaped and baked it on a foil-lined cookie sheet and it was perfectly done in an hour (160 degrees). Once sliced and eaten hubs and I both agree that while it was flavorful (why wouldn't it be with all the stuff I added to it?) it could have used less bread crumbs and maybe even another egg for a meatier flavor and firmer texture. On its own, however, this recipe is merely a basic, starting point to a potentially great finish.

Eh, wasn't the best for me. I like a more loaf like meat loaf and this really fell apart -- even after adding an extra egg like other suggested. I'll continue my search...

I didn't have any steak sauce, so I used barbecue sauce. I didn't read the directions before I made it and added 2/3 cup to the mixture (I doubled the recipe). I didn't have any bread crumbs, so I got my grater and shredded some garlic bread. It's a very moist meatloaf, and my family loved it. My 4 year old, who does not eat red meat, had an entire slice of it. Yummy. We had mashed potatoes, peas, corn, and dinner rolls (Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls from this website). Perfect meal for a Sunday. Thanks for the great recipe.

Used italian bread crups and omited added salt. Steak sauce was over powering. I think puting BBQ sauce on top would be better.

Came out a little dry, I think it was because I used breadcrumbs and less milk (I only had evaporated on hand) and omitted onions and peppers. Had nice flavor though. Would try it again but would follow the recipe more closely.

mmmm. Turned out AWESOME. Best meatloaf ive ever had. I omitted the green pepper as hubby doesnt like them, added onion soup mix instead of onion. Added 2 cups crushed rits crackers. 4 tblsp of A1 bold and spicy, added red pepper flakes for a bit of a kick, and baked for an hour and 15 min.At the end put a mixture of ketchup and brown sugar on top, turned the oven to broil and let the sauce carmelize.ohhh my gosh this meat loaf was soooo good and very moist! Hubby LOVED it,he even brought a slice for his friend to work to try!!.haha.Thanks!!! :)

Well, I recalculated for 8 servings, so I used 2# ground beef. I used worchestershire sauce because that is what I had at the time. It's a good recipe, but I would definitely cut way back on the salt! And as much as I love green peppers, I would probably leave them out the next time I make this & I'll try it with a different steak sauce. I will certainly try this recipe again with a couple of changes made.

Instead of beef, I used 3 ground meat combination of veal, pork and beef- mostly available in some supermarket like Morton Williams ( previously Turco's). I added some worcestershire sauce with the A-1 steak sauce. Need to cut back on salt otherwise my picky , "eweee what's that " boys loved it! Very good indeed! Make some baby red potatoes seasoned with a little rosemary, salt & pepper and coat with olive oil , stick it in the oven with meatloaf plus some roasted sliced zuchini- a complete balance meal. I also put apple sauce on the side. What a combination!!!!

Very good recipe - make sure and use lean beef (>85/15), otherwise it will turn out pretty greasy.
