this really lives up to its name! i had this for the first time at a rehearsal dinner and just could not get enough of it. i found this recipe, decided to give it a try and i am really glad i did! i used about 9 or 10 bananas as well, as 14 did seem like too many

I'm only giving it 4 stars because I messed up and bought the smaller package of vanilla pudding - even so, it was really good. Just a little too sweet. - My fault.

This recipe didn't make me want to "slap my momma", but it DID make me want to run down the street screaming about how good it was. The "14 bananas" thing had to be a typo, I only used about 3 1/2 reg. sized ones. I had leftover pudding mixture that I ate by itself after I ran out of everything else! Fantastically easy and ridiculously good recipe. Thank you!

Nice texture and simple to make, but waaaaayyyyyyyy too sweet. I think the condensed milk could have been left out, and if real whipped cream way substituted for cool whip, it would have improved it a lot.

I make this recipes all the time. I use the sugar free pudding and add a little more cool whip. It keeps it from being too sweet, although, it's wonderful the original way as well.

Excellent!! I made this last night, and it's already gone! I used the suggested 3 cups of milk per the instructions on the pudding box and 4 bananas vs the 14. I also crushed the wafers, but only because my kids couldn't wait for the wafers to get soft. Will definitely make this again!!

Have made twice, the second with fat free condensed milk, fat free cool whip. It seemed sweeter than with the reg. condensed milk. Only used about 8 oz of the cool whip. Very easy to eat.

I loved this but if I make this again I will crumble the vanilla wafers. If not, it would have to sit for a long time for the wafers to get moist and not be crunchy. I did like this though.

Being from the north, I had never made banana pudding before. I made this recipe for a neighborhood party here in the south, and all of my neighbors said that it was the best they ever had! They raved about it and said I am officially a southerner!! Very easy to make and absolutely delicious as is. I made it the night before to give the wafers a chance to get soft. I will definately be using this recipe again.

Very Tasty. A bit too sweet for me, so next time I will omit the whipped topping. Thanks for sharing.

I tried this recipe this weekend and it was met with rave reviews at the carry-in I took it to. It's so easy and so delicious. It was a hit and will be made many times in my kitchen. As other reviewers have mentioned, there may be some typos in the recipe. I did not add 14 bananas but added 4 instead. I also followed the pudding instructions and put in three cups of milk. The second time I made the recipe (that's right I made it twice in three days!) I only added 2 teaspoons of vanilla and liked that better. Great recipe though!

This recipe was delicious!! I only used 4 bananas also. I thought the sweetened condensed milk would make it too sweet, but I was wrong, it made it rich and creamy. Better than another recipe I've made with just vanilla pudding.
