One of our most favorite salads ~ I actually got this recipe from a local Amish lady. She said she makes this for all their large community functions and it is a hit and always requested.

Tasty combination with swiss bacon and lemony dressing. Almonds didn't add much- probably not add them next time

Salad was pretty basic and tasted OK - didn't change the recipe. I would make again, but use a different dressing.

I sure wasn't impressed with the dressing but the salad was good. I made this a 2nd time and made a balsamic based dressing and it was so much better.

Beautiful, refreshingly delicious salad with a beautiful, light dressing that showcased the assembly of ingredients ideally. I loved everything about this salad except for the vegetable oil in the dressing, so other than using olive oil in its place, I prepared this just as the submitter intended, including both the Swiss and Parmesan cheeses. (I did, however, have to skip the croutons, as I sent Hubs to buy some and all he was able to find was the boxed variety – yuck)

Excellent salad! Served this for guests visiting from out of state. It was a big hit. Next time I would not toss with dressing ahead of time (my error) - it got soggy quickly. I skipped the croutons - they were not missed, but would be a good addition.
