I was really disappointed with this recipe after having read all the rave reviews. I found the soup to be goopy, unappetizing and distasteful. The cream cheese which I thought would be the central highlight, in fact, made it undesirable combined with the salsa/picante sauce. It also looked messy and tasted like the ingredients was thrown in for a cheap meal.

This soup was awesome! I added a can of kidney beans, a few cloves of garlic, and some Mexican-style stewed tomatoes. I will definitely make this one again!

I halved the cream cheese and doubled the corn and loved it! I've passed the recipe onto many people recently.

This chowder was quick, easy and absolutely delicious. I omitted the margarine and used ultra-lite Philly and it came out great!

It is a very spicy soup, it is also very good, as a soup in the summer.

A really good soup that is quite different from anything else. The cream cheese adds a wonderful creamy texture. It was great served with hot homemade corn bread.
