I added garbanzo beans and black beans and cooked a little longer to boil off some of the water. I cooked it for about 2 hours total. My only minor gripe is that the use of the taco seasoning (obviously) lends this chili more of a taco flavor than of the typical Cumin flavor of most chili. Don't get me wrong, the taste is still great and the amount of spice is perfect for me. If you want to judge the flavor based on that of a more typical chili though, you might want to make some spice substitutions. Overall though, it was still a great meal and leftovers were great too.

I have made this twice and it is great and very easy! I used fresh salso and chili powder instead of chili pepper flakes. My boyfriend and I both love it!

Really good chlii! I added some pinto beans to the chili because I felt that it needed a little something more. I also used shredded leftover turkey from Thanksgiving instead of ground turkey. Everyone at our family get together LOVED it!

This wasn't very good. The texture of it killed it in my opinion, and it is hard to pass it off as chili without the beans. It was more of a thick soup/almost spaghetti sauce conistency. Not good. I made it and had 3 big tupperware bowls left overm that no one would eat :(

Awesome chili. I added in about 2T of chili powder, and used a 28-oz can of crushed tomatoes, no salsa. GREAT chili!!! :)

I'm new to the cooking life and my husband and I usually try to eat healthy. I thought this would be a great healthy dish. I did everything that the recipe calls for but I also added 1/4 cup brown sugar and 2 cans of red kidney beans. My husband was very happy with the results as were everyone else in my family. And because of the demand, I have given this recipe out, several times. Thank you!!

Easy, delicious, and hearty. My husband isn't really a "turkey" guy and he loved it. Served with homemade cornbread and it was fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

Love it! I added a can of each of corn, black beans and pinto beans. Because of all those extras, I had to add some water to get the right consistancy. I like that it's full of vegetables and bold flavors. This one's a keeper.

I made this chili for my bro's birthday party....many people said it was the best they've had. You don't lose a thing with the ground turkey. I transfer everything to a crockpot when it's done and let it sit on low for a few hours...unbelieveable!

Very good! I browned the onion and ground chicken, then put them in with the rest of the ingredients in a crock pot on low. I also added some mild chicken sausage (browned first) and was very pleased with the addition. Best chili recipe I've tried so far!

Everyone loved this except the 8yo...will save and hopefully his tastes will change! Added 1 can (amount) of frozen corn, drained black beans, drained red kidney beans, and sliced zucchini into 6ths so the pieces were more the size of the beans. Hubby had seconds....this was great for a cold, foggy day! Update: took to a teachers' luncheon and I made labels with the name of the recipe and the website link. All 30 labels were taken! Everyone loved this! I made a pot of spicy for the teachers, with a heaping tbsp of red pepper flakes. GREAT on a cool day!

This was good, but way too hot for our taste. Will make again but half the peppers and reduce the pepper flakes. Will also add corn and black beans next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Excellent! I made this with left over turkey from the Thanksgiving meal, I omitted the paste and salsa and used canned diced tomatoes and added a can of black beans. The depth of flavor was wonderful!

This was the bomb! I made exactly as written except added a few teaspoons of brown sugar to cut down on the acidity and added a can of black beans and a can of kidney beans as others suggested. We are a family of picky eaters who don't like a veggie chunky chile or sauces, so I chopped all the veggies up fine in a chopper before I added to the chili and noone even new the veggies were in there! Definitely a keeper, and so healthy!

I got rave reviews of "the best chili we have ever had" from friends and family. I used veg broth because I didn't have beef, one can of corn, and one can of beans. Instead of using green peppers, I used a can of tomatoes with green peppers (or chile's I forget). Crockpot on high for 5 hours. Wonderful. Thanks.

I made quite a few modifications, but just to suit my taste. I like things spicy, so I did the following: added chili powder, cumin, garlic powder and red pepper flakes to my taste. I also subbed diced tomatoes, used red and yellow peppers (just threw into pot along with turkey and onions) and added a can each of black, kidney and garbanzo beans. I also sauteed the zucchini for about 10 min. because I prefer them without a crunch in soups. Does NOT take long to throw together...and you can't really mess this one up! A good weeknight fix!
