The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was a little too greasy for my liking. I baked my salmon steaks in tin foil at 375 for 20 or so minutes in order to let them marinate longer so that could have been the reason they turned out so greasy. However, I will definitely be using this recipe again....minus the vegetable oil!

Very good and very easy to make. I grilled it on a cedar plank which added another flavor dimension.

Just tried it and it is the best homemade teriyaki I have had. I did make some of the changes mentioned, 1/4 cup sesame seed oil, and 1/4 cup olive oil and I used minced garlic instead of garlic powder. Also added the suggested 1/4 cup brown sugar. We also used sockeye salmon, and it was "too die for" as my wife put it. Will definitly use this recipe again for the salmon, and as suggested also use this the next time I cook chicken. :JJ:

I thought the marinade lacked flavor. Probably would not make again.

My family loved this. I used a green onion teriyaki marinade in addition to the ingredients....I skipped the soy sauce and it came out pretty good. I made a buttery white rice as a side dish. Thank you very much!

So delicious, my 2yr old son LOVED it too, he kept asking for more. I made it with white rice and steamed baby carrots and brussel sprouts with a little "parsley sprinkle". I marinated the salmon for about 45 minutes and still was great!

Fantastic recipe! It's important to baste the salmon a few times. For the best sauce, pour the basting liquid from the hot pan over the fish.

if you don't have ground mustard you can use spicy brown mustard instead. That's what I had to do.

Yum! This coming from someone who hasn't typically liked salmon all that well. This recipe was extremely easy to prepare and was fast, fast, fast. I wasn't able to get salmon steaks so I just had a filet. I broiled it for maybe 7 minutes total and it was perfect. I took other reviewers suggestion and I used half olive oil and half sesame oil. Love the flavor. I'll definitely be making this again.

I made this for dinner last night and thought it was good but had it chilled for lunch today and it was wonderful! It was especially good in contrast to the steamed chilled sugar snap peas also leftover from last night and the pairing made a nice luncheon salad. Making the whole thing super easy and convenient, I froze individual servings of salmon with marinade in freezer bags, defrosted one all day in the fridge yesterday, and then broiled as directed. I microwave steamed the frozen sugar snap peas after I started broiling the salmon so the whole meal (with a chunk of crusty bread) took about six minutes from start to finish. That is my kind of cooking- healthy, quick, delicious!

I am new to cooking salmon and have tried several marinades/seasonings and this recipe received the family "Best So Far" award. I followed the recipe only I used 1/4 c. both olive and vege. oil, no ground mustard (didn't have on hand) and small fistful of brown sugar. I also added approx. 1/2 tbsp. minced garlic and just a pinch of garlic powder (my husband can never get enough garlic in anything). I marinated a whole fillet for approx 2 hours (turned several times) and then husband grilled it. It was absolutely fantastic! I was a bit wary of the marinade as the look and taste of it was almost gross but it was by far the best for the salmon... This recipe is probably one I'll use from now on! Thanks everyone for the comments!

We LOVED it. We broiled on high on the 2nd rack about 5 1/2 minutes each side. Used sesame oil instead of vegetable oil (suggested by another reviewer). I'm not crazy about salmon, but I could eat this every day!

Loved this recipe and so did my husband. I did add 1/4 cup of brown sugar and I simmered all the ingredients together to dissolve the sugar. You can also add Dry Sherry in place of the lemon juice!

We are awaiting the remnants of hurricane Noel, so I needed a fast meal tonight as power loss is a real possibility. This is a keeper. I used 1/4 cup of olive oil and added 1 tbsp of sesame oil. Instead of the dried, I used 2 tsp of fresh ginger, a large garlic clove (minced) and added 1 tbsp brown sugar. Since I didn't have a lot of time, I marinated the steaks for less than 15 minutes - they were still awesome. Thanks for the recipe Jeanette.
