This recipe was so fast and easy to make! My kids loved it, they almost finished the whole thing by themselves and they are VERY picky eaters!! I used cream of celery, instead of the cream of mushroom and mexican blend of shredded cheese, but it still came out great!! I will definitely be making this dish again!

Excellent! I sauteed the onion with mushrooms then browned the ground beef with them. I mixed cream of mushroom and cream of celery soups and two cans of French cut green beans, omitting the milk and topping that with the cheese. I oven-baked double the amount of tater tots until they were crispy and then put them on top of everything because I like them extra crispy, not soggy.

Very good! I accidentally forgot the onion in the hamburger, and it still turned out yummy! I took others advice & mixed the milk, soup & 1/2 c cheese into the meat still in the skillet, then xferred it to the casserole dish. I also added frozen corn to the meat mixture & that was pretty tasty. After I topped it with tater tots, I generously sprinkled Lowrys seasoned salt. Turned out Fab!

So easy, quick, and tasty! My husband just went back for thirds! I did a couple things differently after reading the reviews... 1. I browned the beef with the onion, 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, and 1 tsp minced garlic. 2. While it was browning, I lightly sprinkled it with onion powder, ceyenne pepper, onion powder, salt, and pepper. 3. Once the meat was finished, I added the can of condensed mushroom soup, 1 cup of cheese, and 1/2 cup milk right into the skillet and mixed together. 4. Put a can of green beans in the bottom of the dish and spooned the meat mixture onto the top. 5. I put the tater tots on top of the mixture and sprinkled the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese on top. 6. I sprinkled the top lightly with seasoned salt before serving. YUMMMM!!!

Oh my gosh, I HATED this. I thought it was way too salty. Maybe it was b/c I seasoned the meat with Adobo before puttin gin the onion mix. Next time, I'll leave out the onion mix, no way am I parting with my Adobo. I gave this three stars because even though my husband said it was so so, and I hated it, my kids LOVED IT!! Even my two yr. old! Go figure. Anyway, I definitely think I can work with this. I think I may try this with Grouper and red wine sauce, yum! Thanks for the recipe!

My boyfriend isn't very fond of cream of mushroom soup so I used cream of chicken soup instead. It still came out good and was a quick and easy fix for dinner!

This has always been my favorite. When I make it, I too think that it's bland. The last time I added one can of chopped green chilies. WOW what a added flavor and not to much.

This is a very popular dish in our house. But my husband does not like anything cooked with mushroom soup so I always substitute with the packaged Country gravy mix. It has a grest taste.

Yummy but the ground beef needed to be seasoned some more. I added salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. I used a whole bag of tator tots. And I covered it in cheese. Then I drizzled each serving with ketchup. Yum!

I wasn't extremely impressed. The flavor was bland. I even tried to give it some kick with onion soup mix. It is a good idea, and a quick recipe, just not for my taste buds again.

I gathered info from other reviewers and came up with a recipe that was great! The whole family loved it, here it is: 1-Brown meat with minced garlic and dried minced onion. 2-Layer bottom of dish with tater tots (spray w/pam 1st). 3-Mix meat with soup, milk and almost a whole GOLDEN lipton onion soup mix packet. 4-Pour meat mixture over tots. 5-Top w/cheese, cover w/foil and bake at 350 for 35mins. 6-Remove foil, turn up to 400 degrees and bake for about 7 more mins. It turned out wonderfully! I served it with rolls and a large garden salad to try to make up for the high fat and caloric intake from the casserole. Husband and kids were all very happy! Enjoy!

I made it with 2 lbs. meat. I think any less than that would have been overpowered by the tater tots. With the 2 lb. meat is was fabulous. This recipe fed my family of 5 for 2 whole meals! That doesn't happen very often. Might try some variations like bacon swiss burger bake. Hmmmm.
