Original Recipe Yield 10 servings (1 1/2 quarts)
 

Ingredients

  • 4 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 cups uncooked medium egg noodles
  • 1 pound fully cooked kielbasa or Polish sausage, halved and cut into 1-inch slices
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the first seven ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until cabbage and noodles are tender. Garnish with cheese.
