I had my doubts...but even my "it's not a meal if it doesn't have meat" husband loved them!

This recipe definitely deserves all the five star reviews! These were fantastic, and I didn't miss the meat at all. With the seasonings it tasted exactly like taco ground beef. Not only is this much healthier than beef, it is also cheaper! The only issue I had was that it took a lot longer than 8 minutes for the mixture to thicken, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I wouldn't change a thing!

An excellent recipe when you are trying to eat healthy. Very good as Tacos, also very good as the "meat" for a Taco salad. Will make again and again. Thanks for sharing Michelle.

AMAZING!!! I will never go back to ground beef tacos! Tastes even better, healthier and cheaper!!! I used fat free sour cream and made some quacamole from this website as well and it was so yummy! Give this recipe a try and I am sure you will love it! My husband needs to have meat in every meal yet he agreed as well that it tasted just as good!

We really enjoyed these! They are hearty, flavorful, and healthy. My 10yo son liked these but still prefers the other way we make tacos; one of our daughters thought it was a bit too spicy for her tame mouth. The rest of us, though, thought it was one of the best new recipes we've tried in a while. It's difficult to find recipes I'd serve to our meat-eating guests, but this would be one.

These were okay. I found that they took longer to cook than the recipe called for. All in all, the recipe was good, but I would prefer using Morning Star crumbles to make meatless tacos.

I thought this turned out pretty good. My bestfriend and her husband both liked it. I had WAY too many leftovers, however. Next time, I'd definitely cut the recipe in half.

This recipe was fantastic! It made enough for several meals. I ate the last bit plain with shredded sharp cheddar cheese on top. This will definitely be a staple for us!

These are really excellent! I had some vegan nachos, my boyfriend (non-veg) at this with taco shells, as a burrito and over a baked potato. The flavor really is great, it is easy and incredibly inexpensive! It will be a staple in my house from now on :)

i love this! i had never eaten (or made, for that matter) lentils at all before i saw this recipe, but i'm always looking for creative new (healthy) recipies, and i'm glad i tried this. these had a great flavor, just serve with all your favorite taco condiments. any meat-eater would eat this, in my opinion. i froze the leftovers - just as good a few weeks later!

My non-vegetarian fiance absolutely loved this recipe. It's the first non-meat recipe he's enthusiastically requested. I actually slightly undercooked the lentils in order to make the consistency more like ground beef.

A good vegetarian alternative to meat tacos (just use water or veggie broth in place of the chicken broth)...will definitely make this one again!

These were too good! I am a vegetarian and I like tacos but they were getting boring using the Boca meat. These tacos were excellent, healthy, and I will only be using this method of making tacos in the future! A nice alternative to soy.

delish! I used this to make a taco salad. I only used 2 cups of chicken broth and also added a can of drained and rinsed black beans for more texture. while I don't think this would fool a usual meat eater, it is very yummy for those embracing the occasional meatless dish! also a good use for lentils taking up space in the pantry ;) thanks for sharing!
