Really good--followed the recipe exactly the first time I made it, and it was great. It's become a regular dinner for us, but after the first time I tried it with water instead of broth & a packet of taco seasoning mix instead of the spices--works just as well!

I put all the ingredients in a small crock pot. It turned out pretty good. Very easy!

Easy to make. Very tasty. I put the filling into whole wheat tortillas and made burritos.

These tacos... not so hot. I followed the recipe to the "T", but they were not as good as I expected after reading other reviews.

I am a taco addict. I am also trying to incorporate healtier choices into my diet. What could be better than lentil taco filling, then? Answer: ground beef :). Or chicken. Or turkey. While not quite as yummy as I was hoping - the taco filling was by no means unedible. With a little experimentation with spices, it might even be delicious. It ended up working best as part of a taco salad, instead of in a shell.

My family really liked these. Definitely something to try out. Texture was a little funny for me personally, but not bad. Had good flavor though.

Really yummy! I didn't miss the beef. Instead of mashing the beans, I put half the mixture in the blender and pulsed it a few times. Then I mixed the bean mixtures together and added the salsa.

We are not vegetarians but I do try to use proteins instead of meat to lower cost. I was very delighted to find this recipe and I was not disappointed. While it doesn't really look like hamburger or taste exactly like it it was delicious! Even my hubby who loves meat raved about these. Give them a try! I made no substitutions except chick bullion and water instead of chicken broth.

I love lentils. I love tacos. I was STILL skeptical making this recipe--but it was AWESOME! the guacamole, cheese, tomatoes and cilantro all helped :) I made my own taco shells with the corn tortillas i had in my fridge--just sprayed some olive oil on them, and put them under the broiler for a couple minutes on each side. I would gladly serve this to all my meat-eating friends!!

this really deserves the five star rating, the first lentil recipe I've ever cooked and so delicious. I soaked the lentils for about an entire day, so they didnt need to cook for 25 minutes. I added all the broth the recipe called for, so I just left the pan uncovered so the broth could cook out. As it was cooking out I mushed the mixture up. Yum!

Wow. We tried this recipe because we needed a cheap meal, and the whole family loved it. We were actually surprised how delicious it was. If you're hesitant or your kids are picky like mine, try mixing in some cooked ground beef before you serve it. My kids thought it was great.

This was awesome! I used the lentils in quesadillas and they were delicious! We will definitely be using this instead of beef from now on. They make great nachos too! The only changes I made were that I did not have any salsa on hand and so I omitted it, but it really didn't affect the flavor in any way.

I was looking for a great meat alternative and this was a fantastic equal! It's very simple and quick to prepare, too! I do think I may cut down the chili powder a little, but overall... fantastic. :)

Great recipe! I had to add more liquid than the recipe states (and used beef broth as others suggested) and cooked the lentils a few minutes longer than called for. Otherwise, it was great; my meat-eating husband gave his approval and everything!

I used puy lentils (french green),they were not fully cooked after 30 minutes of simmering, had to add more broth. Just add a little at a time until the were soft. Really good tasting and budget wise recipe. Will use from now for our weekly taco night.

I can't believe how great these are! I didn't make any changes except how I served them, by making a taco salad with it in a baked tortilla bowl. I also added refried black beans to the toppings. Excellent. Reheats nicely too. Will be making again and again.

Although I definately prefer the taste of classic pinto beans in tacos, this works well in our country where you can't get most Mexican ingredients, including pinto beans. Thanks for sharing the idea.
