I'm sorry--we really did not like this. I followed the recipe exactly. Served it with rice--put the "juice" over rice and cut up the chicken. The kids ate it and liked it, but hubby said this was not one to do again. . .I agreed. :o(

Awesome! Great balanced taste. Note-chicken gets done fast. Leg quarters (cut) were done after 17 minutes covered. Make gravy out of sauce and serve over rice. Thanks!!

We made this for a holiday dinner with guests and it was a big hit. Baking it this way kept the chicken very moist and tender, and the seasonings in the marinade added great flavor. We added about 2 Tbs of honey, no other alterations to the ingredients. One thing that differed from the recipe as written was the cooking time. When we took it out of the oven to uncover it for the last 15 minutes of baking, we found that the chicken was cooked through, so it ended up with lots of gravy/sauce, but that wasn't a bad thing. We served the chicken pieces on a platter and put the sauce in a gravy boat. Great dinner!

this was nice. I made it with what was in the house: white onion (no shallots), and chili powder (no paprika). I do wish I had made more of the sherry/lemon juice mixture, to pour over the mashed potatoes we had with the chicken! :) next time I will try that.

This was so tasty! It reminded me of a South Beach Diet recipe I have tried in the past, but only it had so much flavor. And except for sodium content, which can easily be reduced, it is just as healthy. I didn't have shallots or green onion on hand, so I sprinkled a little California onion poweder on top. I can't wait to try it with real shallots.

Tasty and tender! I used chicken thighs with the skin removed. I didn't have tarragon in my spice cabinet, and also didn't have shallots. Instead, I substituted finely chopped white onion and added a bit of minced garlic. The recipe smelled fabulous - my kids kept walking by the oven and asking when dinner would be ready. The chicken was very tender and tasty. I'll make it again, but I think I'll add some flour to thicken the sauce, as it was very thin and we like to use the sauce kind of as a gravy for potatoes.

Down in the south we eat chicken like it's going out of style. So I'am always looking for a different way to cook it. Fried Chicken, Baked Chicken, Chicken Pot Pie, and now Tasty Baked Chicken!!! Boy O Boy that good. I think my husband thinks I'm a master chef!!! Thanks!!

The smell while this dish bakes is almost enough reason to make it. Very tasty way to make chicken. I did not add the salt and used low-sodium soy sauce. Also used onions instead of shallots. Just before the covered baking period, I added potatoes and carrots to the pan. Very good dinner! Thanks for sharing recipe.

I made this with split chicken breast according to the recipe and it came out very good. I didn't have shallots so I used about 2 TBSP of diced white onion. My fiance, who is not a fan of chicken really liked it. I'll be making this recipe again!
