Very good Tartar Sauce, much better than any store bought sauce I have ever purchased. I add a little more relish and lemon juice, tasting as I go. Flavors also seem to 'richen' as it sits. This is now a standard to go with Fish recipes!

Ran out of tartar sauce and hadn't realized it until I was putting the fish into the oven! Whipped up a batch of this sauce and my husband and I were AMAZED!!! It tasted great. It really tastes much better than store bought. I will be using this again and again. Thanks for the great recipe.

Loved this recipe. Needed sauce in a pinch and had ingredients on hand. I substituted onion powder for chopped onion (my nephew hates onions) and it was still great. I will only use this tartar sauce from now on.

Yummy! This is extremely good & super easy! I didn't have any lemon juice on hand so I used dill pickle juice instead (per other reviews). I also added a little horseradish for a little kick & squeezed the relish juice out first. It was wonderful. Like everyone else, I won't buy tartar sauce in the store again. Thanks for the recipe! I've made this several times now & my family loves it. I try to make enough to keep around since I've found it stays good for quite awhile.

To be fair, I am reviewing this recipe based on how good I think it would be without my changes. The way I made it, well, I thought it was awesome. To the mayo, I added an extra 2 Tbsp of Cascadian Farms sweet pickle relish. Kept the onion the same, maybe a smidge more. Juiced 1/2 of a small lemon, and added about a dozen large capers, rinsed and chopped. (Had the big bottle of Marzetti capers - they are monster size.) I added a tsp of dried dill weed, and some black pepper but no salt. Wow, it tasted so good on the battered fish.

This tartar sauce was amazing! Instead of dill, I used Cantina dressing instead. I also added a little bit of garlic powder to taste. Thanks!

Fantastic! Did not have sweet pickle relish so I used one dill pickle shredded however the relish would probably be better. I will never waste money on inferior store bought again!

tastes great, and without all those store-bought preservatives! I think the ratio is a bit off though. I tripled the amount of pickles!

Easy and delicious recipe. I'm usually not a big fan of tartar sauce, but was asked to whip some up. It was yummy. I made a couple of substitutions: dill for sweet pickles, low-fat mayonnaise instead of full fat and pickle juice instead of lemon juice. Thanks for the recipe.

Yum! I left out the minced onion as I was too lazy at the moment, but it didn't seem to matter. It tastes great on EVERYTHING.

This was SO simple and quick - and tasted great! I honestly never knew what tartar sauce actually consisted of, and I will be using this recipe for all my fish dishes now! Definitely doesn't have to be used with just fried fish - it was just fantastic on some salmon burgers I had purchased at the grocery store.

My son and ex-husband are crazy for this tartar sauce. They sat it's the best they've had, and they end up using the leftovers on other sandwiches!

Nothing could be easier than this. I didn't even measure; I just eye-balled all the ingredients. used very little lemon juice so it wouldn't be runny. Thanks a bunch!

Excellent, I minced 1/4 c fresh homemade pickles w/1/4 onion for half batch, also added dash of dill, along with only 1 t lemon juice.
