Delicious tangy drink. I just used it without sugar, and replaced sprite with club soda. wonderful!!

I cut the sugar in half and still thought it was too sweet. The grapefruit was fresh off the tree in my backyard, and it was not tart at all. I used Trader Joe's Lemon Sparkling Spring Water and will be making this again, but most likely, with no sugar. I guess whether or not you need ANY sugar depends on how sweet the grapefruit is.

this was pretty tasty, only not quite as tart as it could've been. i suggest people taste it before adding the sugar; because i used "cranberry nectar" which was sweet enough on it's own. i used Perrier instead of club soda. why not go French?

This is great. We make this in a big cooler with a spigget when we have company, only we leave out the sugar and add vodka and fresh limes. Everyone loves it!

I tried this recipe using frozen raspberries instead of the cranberry juice. I then blended them using a hand blender before adding the club soda. It gave it a nice frothiness! If you start with all cold ingredients, you don't need to refrigerate before adding the club soda. I also added slightly more sugar. I love tart grapefruit, and it tasted Great!

The second time I made the coolers, I cut out the sugar completely and loved the result.

I am having a hard time with this one....I just don't know where to put it from a start standpoint. Being a huge fan of both juices and the lemon juice, I made it. There was just something that immediately made me think, "Something is missing", but I have no idea what that something is. I can't say it was really BAD..because it wasn't. The tart was there...and I could tell that there was grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, and even lemon juice in it....it was like there was enough of each that gave you that hint it was there. But, at the same time, I think it lacked flavor, if that makes sense. Maybe the sugar? I don't know. I tried to add more of each juice and tried it in between each add, but that didn't do it, either. Not sure if I will give this another whirl or not...but if I do, I may try to cut back on the sugar (although, it will make things more tart!).

If you like tart flavors, this one is for you! I loved it, as did my 3 year old son who's all into spicy and sour. I also tried it with ginger ale instead of the club soda. That's good, too!
