I skipped arranging this on a platter like the recipe suggested (although I agree that would look nice if you're making this for a picnic) and just mixed chopped fresh tomatoes, finely diced onion, and the dressing for a marinated tomato salad. Unfortunately, I don't have any fresh basil from my herb garden yet so dried had to do - I'm sure I'll make this again but with only half the vegetable oil. It was way too oily for me.
