I used this recipe on a 8lb uncooked ham. The glaze was delicious! My boyfriend and his mother really liked it. We are looking forward to the left-overs for sandwiches. Next time I will take my sisters advice and boil the ham for an hour first. She told me that this takes out some of the saltiness.

This is a wonderful glaze! I have another glaze recipe from this site that I've been using, but it's just been replaced! Love the contrast of the sweet and tangy flavors. The orange zest gives a wonderful flavor. I had a 6 lb ham, but made the amount of glaze as written. After scoring the ham, I placed pineapple rings and merichino cherries on top of the ham and fastened them in place with whole cloves and brushed with the glaze prior to putting it in the oven. I covered it with a foil tent and brushed on more glaze every 20 min untill the thermometer read 160. I then removed the foil and set the oven to broil for 5 min. This browned the ham and candied the glaze. It looked beautiful and tasted great!! Highly recomended. Thanks so much for the great recipe.

This was my first ham - I used a pre-glazed sprial sliced ham (I didn't realize the glaze was already on the ham when I bought it). This recipe certainly jazzed up the dull, generic glaze and added some extra flavor.

Tasted great. Next time I will probably try poking holes into the ham so that the sauce will soak in better

This was a great recipe. I increased all of the ingredients but the ham because I like powerful food, and I also baked it at a lower temperature for a lot longer. It turned out great and even my I-only-eat-chicken-nuggets cousin ate a huge serving.

This ham was fantastic! I was sorry later that I threw away the glaze I didn't use...I should have saved it to add to the leftovers. Thanks for the recipe!

This was the best ham I've eaten in a very long time. I made this for a Christmas party and everyone loved it. Then for an added touch, I kept the ham bone, making sure it had some meat on it. Then I got the 10 Bean Soup mix, threw away the mix packet (Don't need it.) and soaked the beans overnight. Then I washed them the next day, threw them into a large pot, added 8 cups of water and the ham bone, plus extra ham, skin and some ham fat. Simmered it for about a good 3 hours and made a pot of really good bean and ham soup. It thickens as it cooks. Then once it's done, I took out the leftover fat and obviously the bone. (I guess you could give the bone to the dog?) You can add celery, peas, onions, spices, whatever you want. I just used water, beans and the ham and yum, yum!! The water soaks up all those fruit juices and brown sugar that's left on the meat and bone. Thanks, Sue, for a wonder and newly traditional Christmas meal. I will make this next year for Christmas or maybe earlier and of course, my bean soup. :)

I used orange juice instead of pineapple since that's what I had. It worked wonderfully and the ham and gravy/sauce it produced were delicious!

Used it on a spiral-sliced fully-cooked ham (just throw away the packet of powdered stuff that comes with it). Didn't have pineapple juice on hand, so I subbed a can of pineapple slices in juice. Diced up the pineapple and it worked fine as a substitution. Husband said it was "Awesome!"

This honey glazed ham was wonderful. I had a spiral ham. It was moist and yet nicely browned on the edges. I used a cooking bag. Basting the last 20 minutes with the glaze really gave the ham a tangy sweet flavor. This recipe is a keeper. I'll always glaze my ham from now on,using this recipe of course!!

This was a delicious glaze. Instead of brushing on the glaze last, I just dumped the entire glaze mixture onto the ham and into a baking bag with the ham. I tossed in some pineapple slices too. Then I cooked it at 325 for 2 hrs. The 6 lb ham I used turned out moist and delicious!
