Very tasty! I added my own spin to it. I added shredded carrots, ground cloves, and TVP (texturized vegetable protein). The TVP soaked up some of the liquid so it would be firmer for sandwiches. I also let the meat sit in the refrigerator before adding the TVP so the fat would solidify and I could scrape it off. I reheated it and then added the TVP. Great! Elena - Sarasota, FL

I thought these were so delicious! I used jack daniels original bbq sauce, and left out the celery (personal preference). My husband LOVED these especially topped with creamy coleslaw (bottom bun, meat, coleslaw, top bun = YUM). We will be making these for years to come. Thank you so much!

This recipe got more flavorful each day we ate the leftovers. My one piece of advice would be to be sure to trim as much fat as possible off of the chuck roast before making this and to skim the oil off the top toward the end of cooking - otherwise it gets a little greasy.

This really was tangy (but in a good way). Kind of like a sweet & sour effect. My DH loved it. Thanks.

My family loved this recipe, the only thing I did differently is I threw a bag of mini carrots in with it at the start. My picky seven year old requests this.

Quick and eaay. My roast turned out a little dry. I actually only used 1/2 cup ketchup, but I increased the BBQ sauce to 1 & 1/2 cups. Will make again! :)

Original recipe was a little too tangy for my taste. I substituted a half of a cup of ketchup with more bbq sauce. I also added a tbsp. of cayenne pepper.

Loved this recipe. I follow some of the other's advice and added a chopped red onion to the mixture. I also substituted hot ketchup for the regular ketchup. It had a wonderful kick to it and we ate it up for dinner and lunch the next day. Bread isn't even necessary for you low carbers. A nice spinach salad and it makes a perfect, very filling, very tasty meal!

This dish was good the first day, but did not reheat well which is a must for our house. I added more barbecue sauce on day two because it was too tangy.
