Grilled Tofu Sandwich Filling

This recipe is for marinated tofu. You can marinate the tofu in any marinade that you please. Barbecue, honey soy sauce, and honey mustard sauce are just three sauces that have been successful; be experimental! You can cool the tofu and place in an air tight container in the fridge. Makes a nice, chewy sandwich filling. If the tofu is diced small and marinated with a smokey BBQ sauce, it can be used as a vegetarian replacement for pork in fried rice!

I love the braised tofu served at Chinese restaurants, but at home I like to make it healthier (without the deep frying). In my version, I use a lot of vegetables to make it more filling for a lot less calories. This dish is good both over rice or stand alone.

These are veggie burgers with a kick! Shredded carrots and zucchini are combined with tofu, onion, celery, egg, bread crumbs, basil and curry paste. Serve on a bun, if desired.

This is so darn clever and tasty, we know you'll want to give it a try. A shell of tofu is prepared and filled with an incredible stuffing and a layer of tofu on top. This amazing package is inverted - carefully - onto a baking sheet, and the edges sealed.

Slices of tofu and onion are cooked in vegetable oil until golden. Barbeque sauce is poured in the pan and everything simmers away for about ten minutes. Serve on warmed buns.

I threw this together after wondering if blue cheese and tofu would go together well. The results were delicious! Non-blue cheese lovers can omit the cheese and still have a tasty dish. 

Tofu Burgers

This recipe uses tofu that has been frozen for 72 hours and then quickly defrosted. Onion, celery and cheese make these burgers delicious. This is a family favorite at the Silverwolfs' den. Serve in place of meat as a main entree or place on a bun along with your favorite toppings: lettuce, onion, tomato, mayo, etc. These burgers can also be baked in an oven preheated at 350 degrees for 30 minutes rather than frying. 

Broccoli Tofu Pitas
