Good recipe. I made this for a bonfire we had and everybody loved it. I did use 20oz of pineapple like the other post--I didn't want left over pineapple in the fridge. I also added chopped up snicker bars, because that is what my mom always does--only this was better (but we won't tell her that)

This was wonderful, co-workers loved it. After reading the reviews I tried to make it look a little more appealing by coring an extra apple, I used red, just for the color and cutting it into wedges drizzled them with a little lemon juice so they wouldn't turn brown and made a flower like design on top starting in the middle of the salad. I also bought a small can of cored whole pineapple, you get about four to a can and cut them in half and sprialed them around the rim of the bowl as an extra garnishment. It did make it look prettier but once they started eating it they could have cared less. Thanks for a great post.

I've made this salad several times already and always get rave reviews and requests for the recipe. The only thing I changed was using half of the amount of peanuts.

This salad was pretty good. I used walnuts instead of peanuts and next time I won't add the egg yolk.

This was yummy! I added a 20 ounce can of pineapple instead of 8 because I didn't want the leftovers in the fridge. This was the best apple salad I have had. The only bad thing I can say is the sauce is not that creamy-it kind of separates, which doesn't make the prettiest salad-but I don't care--it tastes like a carmel apple!

We all enjoyed this salad! You can also have it as a desert. It was perfect for our 4th of July BBQ. I used three kinds of apples, granny smith, fuji & red delicious. I also used lite cool whip and it was absolutely delicious! But be sure to make this only a few hours ahead because it does get a bit watery. I'll definitely be making this again. Thanks Julie!

This is a delicious, light salad that can be served with the meal or as a dessert. Every time I make it I get lots of compliments! Some compare it to a Waldorf salad.

I took this to a lamaze class reunion . . it was very good. It tastes a lot like a carmel apple. The nuts really make a nice addition.

Although this salad tasted pretty good hardly anyone at it at the party. The presentation isn't really good so not many wanted to try it. I wouldn't make it again. Maybe for a smaller group at home.

Only change I made was to use pecans instead of peanuts (major allergy) but it was still really good. Thanks for sharing.

This was good, and it really did taste like a caramel apple. I think it would be better to use in the fall rather than as a summer salad. Worth a try.

This really is delicious and it tastes just like a caramel apple! I used Granny Smith apples and the peel gave the salad some color. I think next time I will use a combination of Granny Smith and Gala to get more color. There definitely will be a next time. This got rave reviews from everyone. Thanks for a great recipe.
