Yum! this was good. my only complaint is that I wished that I had more sauce. I used half an ortega bottle under the pasta and half on top. Next time I'll buy 2 bottles i think. Really serves 3 people.

This was awesome and something different. I added a bit more cream cheese and also refried beans to the hamburger, yum!

I have received quite a few requests for this recipe. I use the taco seasoning package and increase the cream cheese slightly. Nice for football pot-luck dinners. thanks for posting.

This was so yummy! I used ground turkey and added onions and diced tomatoes while the turkey was cooking and added a taco seasoning package. Then used light cream cheese and 2% cheese for the topping. I also took the advice of another review and used enchilada sauce instead of taco sauce. Am having leftovers for lunch. Thanks for the inventive idea!!!

The recipe as is is ok...I added a can of diced tomatoes to add moisture while the shells were cooking. I think it needs more to the filling, maybe onions and peppers or something to give it more flavor and texture. Good idea, will try again, with changes.

Very good idea! I did change things up a bit. For the meat, I added taco seasoning to the meat with the cream cheese. I baked it according to the recipe with taco sauce. (also i didn't have taco sauce to I Googled it to make it homemade, and was very easy!) When they were done I topped it with green onion, olives, and then sprinkled the cheese on top. Brought the temperature down so the cheese slowly melted. On the side I had a small salad of iceberg lettuce and tomato.I didn't use the sour cream because the meat was creamy enough with the cream cheese.

I am giving this 4 stars based on the concept, very creative. But it definitely needed some tweaking...USE ENCHILADA SAUCE or SALSA and extra cream cheese. I also substituted ground turkey & taco seasoning. It came out great after a couple additions. It's great for a party or potluck.

My guys loved this. A great football game day choice. I used 8 oz cream cheese and double the beef, so it worked out just right. Would cut back on the salt next time, as the torillas add some as well as the salsa - yes, used salsa instead of taco sauce and it was delicious! Also added onions to the beef while it was browning.

Yummy. My husband really liked this creative idea. This could really be dressed up many ways. Next time, I'll add black olives and green chile peppers to the topping.

Pretty good as written. Next time I will try adding more cream cheese and some chopped jalapenos and tomatoes. I think this would be popular at a pot-luck because the concept is unusual but it tastes good. Makes good leftovers, too.

Gave this a 5 based on the cool concept! I did, like many other reviewers, use taco seasoning on the meat (also found on this site). We eat tacos often, and though I thought the addition of cream cheese would be an interesting kick, I didn't find it to make a big difference in taste, only texture. I will not add cream cheese next time to save calories, especially since we top with sour cream anyway! I also suggest adding salsa to the bottom of the pan to prevent sticking and for that extra kick! I paired it with corn and black bean salad from this site--awesome dinner!!

Yummy! This is now a new family favorite. Sooo good. The only change i made was to add a full 8 ounces of cream cheese and I added garlic and onion powder into the meat mixture. Delicious!

Taste was below average. Effort was well above average. Verdict: not worth it. There's probably a reason the Italians use ricotta in their shell filling. The cream cheese took forever to melt into the beef mixture.

We loved this. We used 8oz cream cheese as well as many of the viewers. We also diced up some peppers really small and added it to the meat mixture. We then used an Enchilada Sauce from Allrecipes posted by Anna Marie. That was toooo die for. We changed the serving size of her sauce to 6 servings. It was perfect. Then topped with lettuce, tomato, black olives and sour cream. We might try using Doritoes on the top next time instead of the tortilla chips.

Very good! My entire family enjoyed. I substituted salsa for taco sauce and used 6 oz cream cheese. I added garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, pepper, & oregano to add some flavor. I put the beef mixture into a baggie and piped it into the shells-very easy. Watch the cooking time-at 30 minutes my shells were getting a little crispy. Great recipe!
