A very tasty change from your traditional Italian style stuffed shells. I did use taco seasoning and added a can of diced tomatoes with chiles. I put black olives on one quarter for my own taste. You could get quite creative with this simple yet satisfying recipe. The next time I make this I do two, one mild and one for those of us who like it hot.

I loved this recipe! I made a few changes, I substituted ground beef for ground turkey and I also used reduced fat cream cheese. I also used a pack of taco seasoning, as some of the reviewers previously had stated. The recipe was still full of flavor and delicous.

I used vegetarian ground "beef" and it was great! Even the non-vegetarians loved it.

Most of the time I try to make a recipe first without changing the ingredients, but I did try this out on the family and chose to use ground chicken instead of the beef. It tasted alright but obviously it would have had better traditional beef taco flavor using the beef. I think this is also a recipe where you can really change up the ingredients to suit your own taste.

Loved it! It was so much better than I had expected! It will be one of those meals I add to my list of successes, and I will make it again. It's very simple to make, but it takes more time than I would like since you're browning meat, cooking the shells, assembling, then baking for half an hour...so you can't wait to the last minute to prep. I added taco seasoning to the meat too -- I can't imagine it without. I almost doubled the recipe since I had two pounds of hamburger browned, and it made 26 shells -- enough for 2 meals for my family of 5 (well, my 3 year old refused to try it...so the meal stretched for 2 meals with four of us eating them). I used a cookie dough scoop to fill the shells. I used crushed Doritos on top and they were so tasty. The shells reheated well in the oven (need to use oven to reheat in order to crisp up the Doritos again.) I forgot to toss the shells in butter, and that is probably a good idea so the pasta doesn't dry out much...but it was still very well received.

I would try doubling the taco sauce next time to make it a little more moiste. Other than that, my family loved it! We decided to make a whole "bar" out of it, adding salsa, chopped lettuce, and such to top it off.

4 adults and 2 teens all liked this! We were divided 3:3 on if it should rate 4 stars or 5 stars, but since I gave it 5 stars myself, that is the rating it gets! It was pleasantly spicy. Not too much, not too little. I doubled the recipe but followed the instructions exactly including adding the salt, which I rarely ever do. Next time I may eliminate the salt and see what the difference is. It was not salty tasting at all but I just don't like to add salt to my cooking. We had bowls of the sour cream and sliced black onions on the table to add to taste. This is definitely a "keeper" and we will make again. Thanks for a great recipe!

These would make a great appetizer. They are easy to make and easy to modify according to what you have on hand. I was out of taco sauce and used salsa instead and it turned out great, I also only had cheddar cheese. Next time I might try using refried beans instaed of the cream cheese.

Very yummy! Our family loved it! I used leftover taco meat already seasoned and topped the stuffed shells with chopped up tomatoes before adding the cheese and chips. I served it on a bed of iceberg lettuce. We would definitely make this again! Next time I'd like to try adding chopped up avocado or guacamole at the end.

this was DELISH! i will make this over & over again but i have decided that i will make it more of a lasagna type dish & layer it. my pasta shells were all torn & it was very time consuming to stuff each shell. thank you so much for this recipe my whole family really enjoyed this & even got my hubby's approval. :)

I loved this!!! It looked and tasted amazing. I used taco seasoning instead of chili powder and I increased the cream cheese to 4 0z. I also left out the crushed chips and added more taco sauce. This is a new favourite in our house!

This recipe was fair. I was out of taco sauce, so I made the recipe with salsa and I didn't care for it too much. Also, the recipe states to cook the sheels in boiling water for 8-10 minutes, my shells were pretty tough. So next time, I would cook them longer.

We LOOOOVED this recipe! I wasn't sure about it at first (especially the chips) but it was fabulous. The only modifications I made were I added 1/3 cup chopped onion to the meat as it cooked, used 4 oz cream cheese, and instead of taco sauce (what's that- picante?) used a mixture of enchilada sauce and salsa. Garnished with lettuce, tomato, black olives. Yum Yum, it is part of my regular rotation now. Thanks grannycancook!

Loved this recipe! I used 4oz cream cheese, one can of diced tomatoes with green chiles, 1lb of ground turkey, and one envelope of taco seasoning in place of the chili powder/salt. I also spread a thin layer of taco sauce on the bottom of the dish to help keep the noodles moist. Thanks to all the previous reviewers who left such great tips. This turned out fantastic! My husband loved it and we will definitely be making it again! :-)
