Taco Seasoning I Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 10)
Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2013
All I can say is WOW! I have tried so many taco seasoning recipes. They have all fallen short in one way or another. But not this one. It is perfect. My husband didn't even realize it wasn't the package....he has always known in the past. I was curious how much to use per pound. Fortunately, another reviewer had already figured that out for me....3 tbl per pound and 2/3 cup water per pound. I did add a little flour (I used whole wheat) when cooking to thicken up a little. It was perfect!! No sugar! No chemicals! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

Used this in a Mexican dish. I left out the chili powder as I like it milder. Worked well!

Simply delicious as is! I did add 2 tsp of flour to help the mix cling to meat but it is not necessary. After draining the grease, I add 3 tbsp of the seasoning and 1/3 cup of water to 1lb of browned ground beef. it was not too salty or too spicy as some reviews mention...this maybe because i added the flour to my mix. Thanks for this recipe!

I loved this recipe! I'm so glad to have found one that tastes even better than a seasoning packet, and is healthier. I also added dried garlic, and El Pato sauce to my meat, which adds a kick of spice and flavor. These were the best tacos I've ever made, thanks again!

Good, solid, not-too-spicy taco seasoning. Really, why buy something else when I have all of these spices on hand anyway? Thanks!

Excellent blend, tastier with less salt than commercial seasoning mixes. Makes a great small gifts as well.

It tastes amazing but the prep time is longer then a minute. It takes me about 10 minutes or maybe more trying to make sure I have all measurements correct. Usually the measurements for this can be for two different times making it with one pd of meat each time. 2 Tbsp per pound of meat is how we like it anymore would ruin it I think, overkill.
