I Love to make things from scratch rather than buying them from the store. Taco's is a regular at our home! This will be one less thing on the grocery list- My Hubby will be happy! Thank you for sharing!

I threw chicken breasts in the slow cooker coated with your TS1 and used the meat for enchiladas. Instead of using crushed red pepper, I used ground ancho chili seasoning and it was excellent. Kudos for posting a great recipe.

I use this for so much more than taco seasoning... I love it. In addition, you can adjust to your taste and you know the quality of ingredients going into it. Fantastic!!

My family loves this spice mixture. The first time I mixed it I upped it to 40 servings. It lasted one day since my kids had to take some home with them after tasting it in chili. I made a quart jar of it the next day. It's perfect.

This worked out very well. 2.25 lbs of meat used up all 10 servings. I reduced the cumin by 1/3rd, added 1/4 tsp. cocoa powder, and when I made my tacos, added 1 tsp. beef soup base. It was great, and perfectly salted :) Thanks, I'll continue to use this!

I have used this recipe several times and it is great! It's nice to know how to mix up a taco seasoning when you are in the middle of making something and don't want to have to go to the store to get buy it!

This seasoning tastes like a less salty version of the pre-made packages you buy in the store. Which after making this, I will never buy again.

This recipe may save your -- and your family's -- brains. Make a bunch of it! Store-bought taco seasoning typically has more than one excitotoxin within to add 'taste' when it's added to ground beef. Excitotoxins like MSG, disodium inosinate (and several others) burn out neurons by exciting them overmuch. They over-fire, then they die . . . leaving holes where they used to be. Tons of this garbage is worked into processed food to give it taste -- even baby food. Google 'excitotoxins', do some research, and protect your family by using recipes like this one instead of buying something off the shelf.

Great base mix. We tweaked it a bit for the kids by removing the red pepper, but this will become a staple in my pantry!

I use this so much, I don't even need the recipe anymore. OK if anything spills over and add a little extra. I will never use the searsoning packets ever again.

Great tasting spice combo. Not really used to using this many types of spice however now that I have an actual kitchen to work in with a real stove, I am in hog heaven.

This was AWESOME. I absolutely loved it so much better than the packaged stuff. I will add a little more red pepper flakes next time, as I prefer my tacos a little spicy. I will definitely be using this instead of the packets from now on. Cheaper, better for you and tastier, what else could you ask for?

What more can I say that hasn't already been said. It's a great recipe made of a combination of pronounceable ingredients. And yes, no MSG!! Made a bunch so I'll have it onhand (as to not be tempted by the packets that are sitting in my pantry). Mmmmmmmmmmm.

It sounds really good, but I found out that using taco sauce for the meat works very well, and the meat sticks together for tacos. It doesn't fall apart or crumble like the regular taco seasoning and tastes much better.

This is very good - but I'd make a few changes next time I make it. I would used dried, minced onion instead of the onion powder, double the cumin and substitute a pinch of cayenne for the pepper flakes. Also, I like how the packaged kind thickens up a bit, so I added a tsp or so of cornstarch to the mixture. I LOVE that it is all natural and NO MSG!!!
