We have been using this recipe for about 2 yrs now and I can't keep enough made up. We love it because it has less salt, more flavor and NO MSG, so no one gets headaches like we used to with the packaged seasoning. Thank you for putting this on the site!!!

Very, very good! I had ran out of the packaged kind and decided to try this recipe. I like the fact that their isn't any MSG in it. I will be using this recipe from now on. No more packaged taco seasoning for me!

This was so easy and really good. I keep all of these spices/herbs on hand anyway so it was easy to do. I will continue to use this in the future. Thanks for the recipe!

Thank you! I hate buying prepared foods but never thought about making my own taco seasoning. My family never noticed it was not the same old package. I now make a large batch and store in a zip lock bag for future uses.

Thank you so much for the recipe! I cannot have anything with MSG and all of the commercial taco seasoning packets contain it. This tastes so great. I think it makes the food taste fresher than when using packaged seasoning.

this is delicious! what i do when i make beef tacos is add about 1 and a half cups of water to about a pound and a half of ground beef and add the seasoning after the beef has been cooked and drained. my favorite though is to saute about 3 chicken breasts diced, add 3/4 cup of lime juice and a half cup of water with the seasoning and let it simmer down to make chicken tacos. YUM!!! it's too spicy for my two year old but just right for hubby and I. delicious!

I was a little wary of this because some of the reviews indicated it was really spicy. Granted, I LOVE spicy food, but I didn't find it too spicy or even all that spicy. It tastes exactly like the taco seasoning packets you buy, but this is so much better because you can control the amount of salt. I took a cue from another review and added cornstarch and water to thicken up the sauce it made. Really good stuff!!

I like more flavor than spice, and this recipe has a LOT of heat. I decided to add a tsp. of beef bullion like someone else suggested, but that made it taste like lipton beefy onion soup mix. I will add more flavorful herbs and spices next time and less chili powder and flakes.

This was delicious. Made it exactly as the recipe called for, added it to 1lb of beef along with a little cornstarch and water to help it sauce up and stick to the meat, and it was amazing. Better than the packaged stuff, I'm never going back. Ever!

I always make my own taco seasoning, but this was my first time making this one. My husband noticed and said it was much better than the usual! I made it exactly as is only I used just half the salt, figuring I could add more to taste later. I cooked one pound of ground beef with the seasoning and one large clove fresh garlic. In the end, I didn't add any more salt (not needed), just added a sprinkle more cumin and chili power (we love the stuff), and the meat came out perfect!
