I've been using this for awhile now and I can't believe I haven't reviewed it. This is now my standby taco seasoning-no more packets for us! Perfect as is and I always have the spices on hand. I use about a tsp of corn starch to about 2/3 cup of water to make a nice sauce. I also use about 1/8 or less of red pepper powder instead of red pepper flakes. Thnaks for the recipe!

This is amazing! I will NEVER buy taco seasoning again. I usually leave the red pepper out because with salsa, becomes a very hot meal. I also add about 1/2 tsp. of flour which helps when you add the water (otherwise, even after cooking, the meat is too drippy).

What makes this recipe exceptional is the fact that it does not have MSG, sugar or artificial flavorings. This is a perfectly flavored recipe. I used the entire quantity for one pound of ground beef, we like our tacos spicy. Very delicious. I will use this recipe from now on instead of the prepackaged mix.

Great! I am doing a low carb diet and did not want flour in my taco seasoning. All the store ones have it. This was just as good as any store one and I think even better! It has a little spicy kick witch I loved!

I've meant to review this before, as I've now used it many times, but it is the best! It tastes better than the storebought packets, its cheaper, and way less chemical/mystery ingredients! Thanks for a great recipe!!

This was great when I ran out of taco seasoning and didn't have time to go to the store. I cut back on the black pepper and added some flour to it. My family really liked it, and I'll be using it again.

This was excellent. I multiplied the recipe times 6 and used it to flavor 6 lbs. of meet for a "taco party" (adding water til it looked like the right consistency. Best tacos we've had. Will make again and again.

Love this. Per other reviewers, I use about 1 Tbsp per pound of meat and add some water to the meat and let the mix cook down and thicken. Yummy! This mix now has its own jar in my spice cupboard.

It has a nice spiciness to it. Not too much at all. My family and I like it. I do feel like it needs a little something else. Using homemade spice mixes has the great advantage of keeping your stock of spices fresh. Also you it allows you to get to know your spices better, thus giving you insight to improvize more successfully through personal experience. I will use this recipe again.

Toss out those packets, this stuff is great! Easy to compile, spicy, with just enough zing to it. The best thing is that it is adaptable, so you can make it spicier or less spicy to suit your tastes. I no longer use the 'taco' packs at the store, thanks to this recipe!
