This is an awesome way to use up left over mashed potaotes. I wanted my potatoes to be like a crust so I baked it in the oven while the beef was warming up - I used cooked frozen ground beef so I just had to hit it through with the beans, onion and I choose to use salsa in place of the bbq sauce. I only added a tbls spoon of water. This turned out quite good, my bf used chips I ate mine with a fork.

This was really good and a hit with the family, but no. 1, the picture with it is not the right picture. The mashed potato "crust" is not really a crust, per se, and the final product is really better suited to be a filler for a soft taco, or maybe used as a dip for tortilla chips. The taste is great, it's just not meant to be a pie. It's filling consistency.

I cut back on the taco seasoning mix so recipe wouldn't be too salty. Added a little cumin to the ground beef and about 1/4 cup of salsa instead. It was delicious and my family loved it.

This was amazing! It was gone by the end of the night. It doesn't however look anything like the picture. We used it more as a dip with chips. Really good and I'll make it agian.

Made this for the family last night and it was a hit! My husband and 5 year old loved it! Added the cheese on top as it cooked for the last 5 minutes. It's a filling and yummy meal...great for cool nights! We used avocado and a dash of hot sauce (Tapatio) for the top as well as the rest of the suggested items. I gave it 4 stars because it's a "heavy" meal for my tastes (but I still loved it!) and my husband gave it 5 stars! We'll make it again for sure!
