This was pretty good. However, I think next time I will add a layer of salsa. Just needed something else. I always have pre cooked hamburger in the freezer, so that cut my time in half.

This recipe was very good and filling I also used lipton's rice sides mexican rice as a side dish. Even my picky husband enjoyed this meal. I cooked ground turkey instead of ground beef with chopped green bell peppers and onions. Other than those additions I followed the recipe.

My family LOVES this recipe...and with 5 kids, that is saying something! I doubled the recipe and adjusted (as I always do) by adding some lower fat cheeses and sour cream, but don't tell the kids! They even love this the next day, reheated in the microwave.

This has become a regular for our family. We add Spanish Rice to the taco meat as well as diced jalapenos and salsa.

LOVED this recipe! The only thing i did differently was i spread sour cream on the baked crescent rolls before adding the meat. I also added in diced onions, bell peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes and fresh garlic into the ground beef mixture. Then continued on with more sour cream on top of the meat and added cheese. I think next time around i'll add some red enchilada sauce than the cheese to give it more of a zesty flavoring. Over all this dish was wonderful! No leftovers! Family loved it that much!

This has been a favorite of mine since I was little. It also is very good with shredded chicken or ground turkey. Lowers the fat!! and is better on your stomach. I mix the sour cream in with the meat. My boyfriend also hates sour cream but I use only a few scoops and he doesn't even know. Also saute some onions with the meat and top with Cheese Doritos!!! Lettuce, avocado and salsa mmmmmmmmmmm

My family loves a recipe similar to this. I add chopped block olives to the beef/sauce mix and do not add crushed tortilla chips

I have dinner at my house on Saturdays for a bunch of guys and am always trying to come up with stuff that will fill them up but not take me all day to make. This recipe fit the bill. I used packages of crecent rolls in the bottom of a 13x9 pan, and about 1.5lbs of ground beef. I also added a refried bean, and salsa layer. The guys LOVED this. It's also good cold, who knew? :D

I wasn't crazy about this recipe. I added onions and diced tomatos to the ground beef, after draining it. I still found it to be a little bland. I should have listened to other reviews about putting sour cream on the side because mine looked like it curdled. It was easy enough and my husband enjoyed it but not worth all the calories.

Liked it a lot, though I changed things up to suit my tastes. I used two crescent roll packages instead of one, doubled the cheese, cut the sour cream in half, and added a can of corn and a can of kidney beans.

This is soooooo good! I made mine in a pie pan, and put the dough on the sides, and bottom just like a pie. I then on the bottom layer put the crunched up tortilla chips. I then put the cooked hamburger meat, and added green chilis, then I put warmed up refried beans on top of that, then I put lots of mexican cheese, and another layer of crushed tortilla chips. I baked in the oven on 350 for 30 min. On the side I had chopped lettus, jalapenos, sour cream, and salsa. Everyone LOVED this recipe!

Just tried this recipe out for something a little different last week and it came out great! I did go with some of the suggestions from other reviewers and used nacho cheese doritos instead of regular tortilla chips. I also left the sour cream out (to be added after cooking) and added a layer of white salsa con queso under the ground beef layer. The last addition I made was to add about a cup of corn (right on top of the meat) which added a great flavor to complement the rest of the dish. I'll definitely be making this one again!

The whole family loved this one! I did make some changes based on previous feedback ... I put this in a 9 x 13 pan, used two rolls of the crescent roll dough (pushed up the sides to form more of a pie) and doubled the meat ingredients. I added a can of mild rotel to the meat and served the sour cream on the side vs. putting directly in the pie. Next time I will leave out the chips on top - we didn't care for them.

So quick and easy and tastes great! I use 4% fat ground beef, fat free sour cream and cheese, as well as whole wheat tortilla chips to cut some of the fat and calories and it is still excellent! My husband who can eat anything and not gain a pound never knew the difference! We all love it, and my friend insisted we have her and her husband over for dinner on a night that we make it... so we had them over last night and they loved it. She called me tonight to tell me she just made it for her entire family and got rave reviews!
