This was very good, Everybody loved it and my sister, who doesn't like anything even asked for the recipe. The only changes I made were, I added a chopped red bell pepper, use 1.5 cans of thick and zesty tomato sauce and crunched up some tostitos on top when I baked it. It was a little dry for my tastes, so next time I will double the tomato sauce. But I will definately make this on a regular basis. UPDATE: I make this all the time now, I have fixed the dryness - 1 can tomato sauce, 1 can of diced tomatoes.

This is so good. Far better than I expected! I did take previous suggestions of adding corn and olives, but I also added can of diced tomatoes and a small can of roasted garlic tomatoe sauce instead of the one can of plain tomatoe sauce. I added the same amount of water and followed the recipe exactly otherwise. Thank you for the awesome addition

I thought this was really good. Not like hamburger helper at all. I did not have everything required on hand so I made some substitutions. I used a 14 1/2 oz. can of tomatoes w/green chilis and only an 8 oz. can of tomato sauce. I omitted the water and the can of green chilis. I also used cheese spread in place of chedder (except for the 1/2 c. on top.) I prepared it in the skillet without the cheese, chilled it, reheated it in the crock pot (1 hr. on high) the next day and added the cheese (melted in the microwave) 15 min. before serving at a potluck at work. I would like to try it again sticking to the recipe.

I made this recipe for football night for my family and everyone raved about it! Even my husband who is really picky and doesn't normally like mexican food loved it. The only different thing I did was added a half can of diced tomatoes. I might add a whole can next time. I also took the suggestion of baking the casserole for 15 minutes, then putting the cheese on top with some crushed doritos and baking another 15 minutes. Awesome recipe. Thank you!!

My boyfriend and I LOVED this! I did change a few things. I used ground turkey instead of beef. An 8 oz. can of tomato sauce instead, whole wheat pasta, 1 can of Rotel, sliced blk olives and a can of Mexicorn. When I baked it, I put in for 15 min and then took it out and topped it with crushed tortilla chips, the blk olives and shredded cheddar! Will def make again!!!

I didn't have green chilies but did have some fresh cilantro in the fridge, so I added that. If you're looking for a dish that is simple to prepare & tasty, this is it. Reminds me of a homemade Hamburger Helper.

Delicious, quick meal! I also added in a layer of yellow Spanish rice, which added a nice flavor.
