My husband and I thought this was a delicious low calorie dish. I did add snow peas and served with some brown rice. A great quick easy low calorie dish that I will make again.

This was a good recipe, but I personally didn't care for the taste. It worked as written, although I used uncooked shrimp.

Excellent, simple, easy ingredients, great quick dinner but flavorful enough for company. I agree with other reviews that say to double the sauce if you are going to add additional veggies. The sauce rocks!

I used 2# raw shrimp; tripled the sauce ingredients with the exception of the red pepper and garlic, though I used 4 very large cloves. I also added mixed stir fry veggies and served over rice to stretch it.

Great recipe, tastes like takeout at home! We doubled the sauce recipe and added lots of veggies such as broccoli, carrots, onion, and mushrooms, served over white rice and it was delicious!

This was pretty good, but I don't think it deserves the 5 star rating it's been getting. The ketchup flavor was a little overwhelming. If I make this again I will halve the ketchup and increase the crushed red pepper (there was very little heat for a Szechwan dish). It was a good elementary dish.

This was very simple. I was a little nervous how it would turn out and was left in shock as to how good it was. I did use raw shrimp. I am not a fan of reheating cooked shrimp, it ends up being rubbery.

So simple yet oh so yummy! Used more red pepper flakes and ginger than the recipe called for cause I like spicey food. Only regret is that I didn't make double the sauce so I could poor it on the rice.

Wow -- an easy, relatively fast, reasonably healthy, and completely delicious meal that can be made with inexpensive kitchen staples. I modify this somewhat when I make it, to include more vegetables. I make a triple batch of the sauce, then add about a pound of frozen stir-fry vegetables at the same time as the garlic and green onions. Then I proceed with the recipe as written, with the rest of the ingredient quantities as written. It's perfect. Many thanks to FOODGU1.

Yummm!! Can't say enough about it, everytime I make it I change the veggies I put in it to accommodate what I have on hand that needs to be used and it is always good! I've even used imitation crab instead of shrimp, I also like making extra sauce and adding brown rice to the mix.

Tasted great! I loved it with brown rice. I bought the shrimp from the grocery store, cooked but with tails - I very quickly learned to remove tails in a hurry. I added a lot more than 12 oz of shrimp but to me, the more the better! I didn't think there was enough heat, but it could just be because my red pepper is not good quality.

As a native Chinese, I cannot stand buffet-style food. However, the popularity of this recipe made me curious. All I can say is WOW!!!! This dish is delicious!!! I tripled the sauce, added frozen vegetables, left everything else to the T, and sauteed. The heat in this dish is perfect! (Note: Sichuan natives like their food HOT!) The flavors compliment each other very well. I have to admit, I went back for seconds before my plate was even empty! Thanks so much for the recipe! I can't wait to make it for my mom!

Very good. We ate them all! I'm thinking the recipe needs more sauce, but I don't really know how much shrimp I added--I think maybe more than the recipe called for (it was the rest of a bag of frozen shrimp), so it's probably my fault. I served over rice and with green beans. Thanks for the recipe!

Hubby liked it but I felt it was lacking something, not sure what though. Heck, it could be because it was Szechwan as much as I was hoping for. Maybe some veggies to provide texture? Doubt I will be making it again soon.

Im rating this based on the flavor of the sauce. It needed to be doctored up a bit. The flavor was just off for me. Tasted to tomato sauce like and nothing like szechwan. Overall it was okay but nothing i would make again. It desperately needs veggies of some sort. it would be boring with just the shrimp.
