Really good quiche! I made it crustless, used 4 eggs, 1 & 1/2 cups of half & half, and added some mushrooms. Cooked a bit longer than the recommended time as well. I sauteed the onions first until they were nice and brown - yum! Family loved it!

Delish! I used cheddar cheese instead of swiss, but followed the recipe exactly. Just delicious.

I normally make my quiche with cheddar cheese so this was a nice change. I added bacon, mushrooms and spinach, used fat free half and half and a few seasonings. Because of my additions I needed to use another egg. So good and thank you Jan!!

Great recipe! Added chopped/sauteed chicken, roasted sweet peppers, sauteed broccol and sauteed mushrooms. After the addition of all the different ingredients, I ended up having to split it into two pie pans and doubling the egg, 1/2-n-1/2 mixture to accomodate. The family loved it and I will definitely make it again. The mixture puffed up around the veggies and really made it light and great tasting.

Delicious! I layered the onions, then some diced ham, then the cheese. I also mixed in about 1/2 cup of thawed frozen chopped spinach in with the egg mixture before pouring on top. There didn't seem to be enough liquid so I added another egg mixed with about 1/4 cup of milk and poured that on. Had to bake it about 10 minutes longer because of the addition. I also substituted heavy cream and milk for the 1/2 & 1/2 since I didn't have any. Will be making it again exactly the same!

This is a great quiche recipe! I added bacon and mushrooms to mine and it was sooo good. I also reduced the amount of onions to about 1/2 an onion. I would definitely make this again.

I thought this was very good, and so did my husband. Instead of adding any kind of meat, I defrosted a package of chopped spinach, squeezed it dry, and sauteed it with fresh garlic in a small amount of olive oil. I added that to the cooked onions on the bottom. Sprinked some black pepper on top like suggested by another reviewer. I followed everything else, and it was soo good!

Really good taste. I think it was a little too much cheese so you might be able to cut back to 1 1/2 cups - 1 2/3 cups of cheese. I also added spinach and ham. Beware....your stove will have part of the quiche baking at the bottom of it unless you put the pie pan on a cooking sheet.

Pretty good!!...I didn't use the butter in the crust. Added several slices bacon chopped up, and sauteed the onions (just used a small one) in the bacon grease instead of butter. Sauteed some green pepper & mushrooms too. (Need to drain veggies & soak up the extra grease with a paper towel) I used a bar of swiss cheese grated & it turned out to be more than 2 cups but used it all. Also skipped the salt & flour, but used black pepper & a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Cooked mine @ 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Letting it sit for 10-15 minutes before cutting is important unless you want something like scrambled eggs. This is a good basic quiche that you could add almost any meat & veggies to. Or don't add anything....just the egg, cheese & half & half mixture cooks up great. I like the swiss cheese but you could use any type.

I have used this quiche recipe many times; and it is always wonderful. This recipe is very versatile; I use the basic format and sub in and out different mests& cheeses. I have done quiches with onions, cubed ham, bacon, italian sauces, etc. Currently, I have an onion&fontina quiche, and a ham and colby-monterey blend in the oven. Thanks for the delicous recipe!

I like onion, but it seemed overpowering to me in this recipe. (And I used sweet red onion.) Next time I will use less and mince it finer. Otherwise it was a very nice quiche - a nice texture and very pretty on the table. I did add finely diced ham and substituted skim milk for the cream. Frankly I forgot all about tossing the cheese with flour, so that got left out.

I just made this quiche for the second time, and both times it has been DELICIOUS. I added pre-cooked, cubed ham and I don't know if I would have liked it as much without it. The flavor of the ham just complements the onion and the swiss cheese so well. I also used fat free half & half and probably more than the recommended 2 cups of swiss (I just shredded a whole bar of the cheese). We had it for dinner and it was so good that 4 adults and one 2-year-old finished the entire thing!!! The flavor is so great, and EVERYONE I made this for (it was for a large family get-together last time) gave me rave reviews. This time it didn't have the dryness(not sure if I'm explaining this right) I would have liked (although the inserted knife did come out clean), but it was probably my fault because I was in a hurry for dinner to be ready and didn't let it stand for 10 minutes like the recipe says. Try it, you'll love it!!

I've made this a couple of times with added variations; 4 slices bacon chopped, vidalia onion and scallions, used fat free 1/2 & 1/2, cheddar, swiss and parmesan cheese mixed and sprinkled top with Mrs. Dash...it always comes out well. Also quickly puts together for a nice supper.

This was great! SO simple. I made a crust from scratch, which is so easy and I think tastes so much better. I also added a tiny bit of left over bacon. Was the perfect breakfast quiche for Easter morning!

You can do just about anything and this recipe is still outstanding. After trying the original, I made another and is was delicious. Chopped an onion and cooked it in 3 tbls. butter and 2 tbls. olive oil. Added some microwavable cooked brocolli cuts and 2 cans of anchoives. Topped in with mozzarella cheese. Delicious
