Typical frostings are too sweet for my taste. Instead, I prefer a whipped cream frosting and adding cocoa powder makes it even better! This will add an extra special topping to any dessert. Simple and delicious!

If you want perfectly fluffy, whipped cream icing, this is the recipe to use. Unflavored gelatin performs the magic. It 's softened in water and poured slowly into the cream as it 's being whipped. This makes a splendid topping for a strawberry pie or the quintessential icing for a three-layer chocolate cake.

It 's hard to make a bowl of cloud-like whipped cream better, but a jigger of bourbon seems to do the trick. Perfect on mincemeat, pumpkin or sweet potato pie. Or just eat it with a spoon.

This is a YUMMY whipped cream frosting that is very stable and can be left at room temperature unlike many standard whipped cream frostings. It also makes a GREAT dip for fresh fruit -- not too sweet, just right! This recipe is GREAT for a stand mixer but will work with any good mixer.
