"My brother created this recipe when he first got married. It's one of my favorites. I love to serve it with corn, mashed potatoes and croissant rolls. You can find sweet and sour sauce in the Asian food section of your local grocery store."

DIRECTIONS
Place the sliced sausage in a large skillet over medium high heat. Saute for 5 to 10 minutes, flipping often, until well browned. Drain excess fat and set sausage aside.
In the same skillet over medium heat, combine the green bell pepper, red bell pepper, onion and butter or margarine and saute for 10 minutes, or until all vegetables are tender. Add the sausage and stir together well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Then add the sweet and sour sauce, cayenne pepper and hot pepper sauce. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, allowing all the flavors to blend.

Excelent recipe. The only thing that would make it better is too double the onions and peppers.

Delicious. . I put more bell peppers and onion, and added garlic. Served it over brown rice. Both my husband and step-son enjoyed. Definitely on the "make again" list.

This recipe is delicious. You HAVE to use a whole bottle of Sweet and SOur- and serve over rice. I added some crushed red peppers, and 2 cloves of minced garlic. PERFECT blend! Kids, husband, and myself loved, loved, loved it!

I made this tonight & it turned out really well. What an easy recipe. I did add extra sweet/sour sauce like the other reviewers recommended, which was great because I served it over white rice. Next time I'll get a better (more authentic) s&s sauce. But the peppers/onions in the sauce with the sausage was really really good. My husband is already looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for a great recipe!

I made this recipe for the 2nd time last night, and we really like it a lot. I chop up the leftover sausage (if there is any) and use it as a filling for omelets.

This was very good. I used turkey smoked sausage and extra sweet and sour sauce. When I finished cooking it, I thought it looked kind of bland, but I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted it!

Very tasty, definite favorite at our house. Sometimes I use turkey sausage. I usually add more sweet and sour than the recipe calls for.

My husband and company loved this. I did make some changes. I doubled the sweet & sour and cayenne pepper & hot sauce. We put over rice; next time will use more peppers and onions. Nice change from the usual smoke sauage. Thank you will make again.
