Excellent barbeque shrimp recipe. Not really the sweet and sour I was expecting, but delicious none the less.

This was really good. I didn't have pineapple preserves so I substituted peach and thought it was really good, I wouldn't normally have pineapple preserves so I think I'll keep this recipe the way I made it. Thanks!

I omitted the mushrooms and peppers as I was going to cook the skewers on the Foreman grill. The only thing I did differently was to use a pineapple/apricot preserve. Marinated the shrimp for about 6 hours, and they turned out perfectly - toms of flavor. Thanks, Rena!

Nice, quick and easy. I had to broil these because it was raining on the night I made this dish. I would recommend only cooking the shrimp for 3 minutes per side, to avoid overcooking.

This was very good! The BBQ flavor is pretty strong, though, just as a heads up. I skewered fresh pineapple slices with the shrimp and also made my own crushed pineapple, which made the sauce pretty tart. FYI - the sauce isn't very good on rice. The rice needs something else...

I made this for my dad's family of 17 and they loved it! Some of them are allergic to shrimp so I marinated shrimp and chicken. The other reviewers were right, the key is the marinade. I suggest skewering meat and vegetables separately to avoid the yucky delimma of vegetables burned to a crisp and raw disgusting germy chicken.

Made this for my daughter and her friend for Sunday dinner. They said it really didn't have much taste. I did marinate for 1 hour, skipped the green pepper and mushrooms (their preference). Will keep looking for a good shrimp marinade recipe.

Fantastic flavor! We'll definitely double the sauce recipe next time. Served with Jasmine rice.

This was really good...but than again shrimp made in anyway is OK in my book! I basted liberally during grilling process. YUM! Do not overcook the shrimp! 3 mins on each side, set on high came out perfect for me. (depends on size of shrimp as well)

My whole family loved this. It was raining so I just used the broiler in the oven to cook them. I just laid them across a couple of pans so that the drippings would fall into the pan. Delicious!

I love this recipe! I add red pepper, yellow pepper, red onion, zucchini, summer squash, and pineapple chunks to the skewers and to make the sauce easy, I just mix 1 cup of sweet and sour sauce from a jar with the pineapple juice reserves from the can - I use the sauce to baste shimpe and veggies before, during, and after cooking. It's easy, healthy and delicious!!

This was FANTASTIC! I only made a few minor, minor changes. I made two batches of the sauce instead of one. I used one batch entirely for marinating. I used the second batch for basting. Also, instead of marinating for 30 minutes, I marinated the shrimp for 4 hours. The shrimp were awesome!

This is a great tasting, yet simple recipe that anyone could try. I didn't have the pineapple preserves, so I used apricot preserves instead, and it still was great, we will be making these shrimp all summer long!
