I really enjoyed this dish and plan to make it again. It can be eaten with rice or sliced and added to pita bread or over a salad.

That was great. It does taste like you bought it from a resteraunt. The only thing i did differently was to pound the chicken breast flat before i cut it into pieces. You get more chicken for your buck.

This recipe is very easy to put together, and tastes like I got it from a Chinese restaurant! The one change I made was: instead of just browning the chicken, I used a cornstarch/salt/pepper/chili powder mixture and coated the chicken with that. I heated about 1-2 Tbsp of oil and fried the chicken in there, before adding the sauce mixture. Frying with cornstarch instead of flour gives the chicken that authentic Chinese taste (A trick I learned from the Food Network). When the chicken and sauce were combined, and sauce thickened, I added sesame seeds for that authentic look. I also chopped some green onions as a garnish after plating. Thanks for a great recipe, Kate!

Didn't use ginger. It was a little too salty so next time I will use low sodium soy sauce.

very good! I didn't add as much hot sauce as I should have, so it was more sweet than spicy. Next time I will be sure to add more. I did flour the chicken and the consistancy came out perfet.

This was sooo easy and tasted just like panda express at the mall or something. YUM! Becareful not to add too much soy sauce and remember you can always stick your finger in the sauce just to make sure you're not missing anything. Oh, next time I will try batter dipping frying the bite size pieces before the drizzle for that crunchy texture.

I love this recipe - I almost always have the ingredients for it on hand and its so simple. We use about half the chicken amount with the same amount of sauce and its awesome.

This recipe is fabulous and easy! I took the advice of other reviews and dredged the chicken in flour first. This worked like a charm to quickly thicken the sauce. I also agree with others that this dish is VERY spicy with the amount of hot sauce called for, but my husband loved it. I made two batches and decreased the hot sauce to 1/2 T. in the second batch for my daughter and myself. I also added brocolli and served with rice for a meal that tasted like it came from a restaurant.

This has quickly become a favorite in my house. As with most recipes, I've played around with it a bit. I always flour the chicken first, which helps to thicken the sauce. I double all of the sauce ingredients - but for the liquid, I do 1/4 cup soy sauce and 1/4 cup orange juice. This cuts back on the sodium and gives it a nice orange flavor in the background. I use sriracha as the hot sauce, which is very potent, so I just add it to taste. I steam some broccoli and throw it into the pan so it soaks up the sauce. Served over brown rice, this is a great, simple meal.

This was the first time I have made this but it seemed to salty from the soy sauce and needed more sweetness. I will try again and alter to my liking. I made double the amount in the orig. recipe.

Very easy to make. Even reducing the spices, it was still too spicy for us, so next time I'll cut it even more and add more sweet flavoring. Followed directions from others about covering it and cooking at lower heat and the chicken came out super juicy.
