I made this for the kids thinking they would love it. They would hardly eat it. I guess it's just a difference of tastes. We did not care for it, a strange sweetness didn't seem to go with these sausages.

This recipie was a big hit at party I threw for my girlfriends. Who knew the sweet caramel flavors would go so well with the sausage!! I did not add the nuts because I thought it sounded a little strange - but next time I will add them! This is definately a keeper!!

This recipe was a big hit at my staff party. I followed the directions and changed nothing. They were sweet, and savory and there wasn't one left. For next time: The sweet nutty glaze was TOO much and covered not just the bottom but the top of the sausage rolls. Next time I will scale down the butter etc.

Hubby made this for me this morning and they were good; not great. A bit sweet for us (but then again it DOES say Sweet Sausage Rolls) Much better when cooled off a bit.

I loved these and have made them too many times to count for gatherings and parties. I am always asked for the recipe and they are always gone very quickly after they are set out. The only difference in my preperation is that I doubled the sauce recipe for added gooeiness and goodness. I also separated each crescent roll triangle into 3 pieces so the crescent roll wasnt to overpwoing on the little individual little smokey. They sound different and wierd, but trust me, you will love them and everyone else will as well. They will become a staple in your appetizer rotation.

One of the best! A friend brought these to Bunco night years ago and I've made it over and over again. They are gobbled as soon as you put the dish down - best served warm - save yourself a few if you want some hostess, they'll be gone if you turn your back. Glad to see it on your site.

I made these for an appetizer.Awesome. I could see even using breakfest sausage for a brunch get together. Will make again. Very easy to put together,[ they don't have to be perfect triangles.]

These were GREAT!!! The only change I made was that I didn't have any nuts. But it didn't matter, they were delicious! Everyone at the baby shower I hosted loved them & asked for the recipe. I rolled them & put them in the pan, then drizzled the topping over them before I baked them. Excellent finger food & easy to make!!

Real nice recipe, Lori. Thanks for sharing it. You'd be surprised how many guys just inhaled these. A nice change from the usual garlicky, oniony snacks but also the perfect contrast. Good job!

These were excellent. I took them to my Grandma's 84th birthday bash and they were devoured. Recipes says cut the crescent triangle dough into 3rds, but I would recommend just halves. I made two batches - one with nuts (pecans) and one without. The ones without nuts turned out a tad soggy (nothing that mattered, they were awesome anyway), and I think it's because the nuts weren't there -- if they had been it may have soaked up some of the sweet butter mixture. All in all, these were a huge hit! They would serve as a nice breakfast side, too.

These are a HUGE HIT! This goes very quickly everytime I make them. To make my life easier, I use puff pastry and cut it into 1" strips and then cut that to about 2" lengths (long enough to just wrap around the Lil Smokie and pinch together). The puff pastry has lots of butter in it, so I decrease the butter by 1/3. I bake these in a 9x13 glass casserole. Still bubbling out of the oven, I turn them out onto my serving dish like sticky buns. This enables the sweet sauce and nuts to be all over the smokies! Yum!

This was simple and easy to make. I used Lil Smokies as suggested and yeah it was sweet but still good. I might try to make a batch without the brown sugar and honey but I doubt if it will taste as good.

The best appitizer recipe I ever made! Like some others, I made 2 batches, one with nuts and one without. Both went so fast, the only way I got to have one was to sneak it before everyone else! Easy to make and abfab!

Made a sample batch today to see if I wanted to serve these for a party later this week. I used little smokies as one reviewer suggested, left out the honey (didn't have any) and used chopped walnuts. I liked it, but felt it was definitely too sweet. I have a big sweet tooth, so it surprises me that I'm the only one to say that. I will make these for the party, but will halve the brown sugar and continue to leave out the honey. I might crumble up the nuts more to make sure they stay on, the nuts help cut the sweetness, too.
