This is a strange combination of ingredients that makes a great appetizer. I make two pans- one with and one without nuts. I use Lil' Smokies for the sausage and it takes a little over a can and a half of crescent rolls to wrap all the sausages, so buy two when you shop! They get pretty sticky when they cool down, so if you are taking them to a party, use a pan nice enough to serve out of. Addictive...

I made these for an appetizer.Awesome. I could see even using breakfest sausage for a brunch get together. Will make again. Very easy to put together,[ they don't have to be perfect triangles.]

These are a HUGE HIT! This goes very quickly everytime I make them. To make my life easier, I use puff pastry and cut it into 1" strips and then cut that to about 2" lengths (long enough to just wrap around the Lil Smokie and pinch together). The puff pastry has lots of butter in it, so I decrease the butter by 1/3. I bake these in a 9x13 glass casserole. Still bubbling out of the oven, I turn them out onto my serving dish like sticky buns. This enables the sweet sauce and nuts to be all over the smokies! Yum!

I loved these and have made them too many times to count for gatherings and parties. I am always asked for the recipe and they are always gone very quickly after they are set out. The only difference in my preperation is that I doubled the sauce recipe for added gooeiness and goodness. I also separated each crescent roll triangle into 3 pieces so the crescent roll wasnt to overpwoing on the little individual little smokey. They sound different and wierd, but trust me, you will love them and everyone else will as well. They will become a staple in your appetizer rotation.

These were GREAT!!! The only change I made was that I didn't have any nuts. But it didn't matter, they were delicious! Everyone at the baby shower I hosted loved them & asked for the recipe. I rolled them & put them in the pan, then drizzled the topping over them before I baked them. Excellent finger food & easy to make!!

Made a sample batch today to see if I wanted to serve these for a party later this week. I used little smokies as one reviewer suggested, left out the honey (didn't have any) and used chopped walnuts. I liked it, but felt it was definitely too sweet. I have a big sweet tooth, so it surprises me that I'm the only one to say that. I will make these for the party, but will halve the brown sugar and continue to leave out the honey. I might crumble up the nuts more to make sure they stay on, the nuts help cut the sweetness, too.

This recipie was a big hit at party I threw for my girlfriends. Who knew the sweet caramel flavors would go so well with the sausage!! I did not add the nuts because I thought it sounded a little strange - but next time I will add them! This is definately a keeper!!

This recipe was a big hit at my staff party. I followed the directions and changed nothing. They were sweet, and savory and there wasn't one left. For next time: The sweet nutty glaze was TOO much and covered not just the bottom but the top of the sausage rolls. Next time I will scale down the butter etc.
