My dad loves coleslaw. He orders it whenever he gets a chance. He said this is one of the best! Thanks for a great recipe.

Pretty good! Better than anything I've found in a grocery store. :) Very quick and very easy to make as well.

I've made this cole slaw several times and my family loves it! I just made a few changes/additions and am always asked to bring it to family gatherings, potlucks, etc. I used 1/2 c. chopped sweet onion(vadalia, if in season) and added 1/2 c. chopped fresh green peppers. I also add a cup of already packaged shreaded carrots. As far as the mayo, I used 1/2 Lite Miracle Whip and 1/2 Lite Hellman's totalling 2/3 cup. I also cut back on the sugar to 1/4 c. and cut back on the canola oil using only 1 TBSP instead of 3 TBSP. Ground pepper to taste. End result is an awesome and tangy coleslaw for a year-round side dish to any event or holiday!!

Great starter recipe and you can tweak it with 1/2 cup raisins and a sweet diced apple. I used mayo instead of miracle whip, sushi vinegar instead of regular vinegar and less sugar as others have suggested.

This was easy to make and everyone loved it! I think next time I will make the dressing the night before and toss it all a couple of hours beforehand. When I was looking for the bag of packaged coleslaw I found a bag of shredded brocolli and I added a little of that and it gave it a really good crunch.

I am picky about cole slaw and this is YUMMY! Going to make it tonight! I did go a little shy on the sugar since the Miracle whip is sweet.

We love this slaw! Every time I have made it, I've tried a different vinegar--this time with rice vinegar. I always go short on the mayo and way short on the sugar. Very tasty dish! Thanks, Sandi Johnson!

I used 1/3 cup sugar, that was plenty! Also I omitted the poppy seeds & added 1/2 tsp. course black pepper, 1/2 cup diced red onion, . My husband has requested this one twice now! 5 stars after changes.

This did taste like the restaurant slaw, but I have to say, with the addition of the vegetable oil, it had a 'slimy' texture. Next time I will use a very small amount of oil and put some extra miracle whip and vinegar in. I would suggest upping the vinegar anyway, it was all sweet and no tang.
