I got a ton of compliments on this at my husbands parents birthday party. I did omit the poppy seeds since I didn't have them. It was still delicious.

This is just delicious and it is wonderful as written. However, we like it with these few additions: added 1 bag broccoli slaw to the coleslaw mix (makes it more crisp), added 2-3 T balsamic vinegar, and added 2 T of plain or vanilla yogurt. I really like the coleslaw both the original way and with the additions--either way, it is sure to please.

Toss out the others ... this is it. I used the mayo instead of Miracle Whip, rice wine vinegar instead of white vinegar(surprisingly, I had some), and celery seed instead of poppy seeds. Kids loved it ... there was a fair amount of liquid after refrigerating, but not enough, I think, to add an additional bag of shredded cabbage ... I might add an additional half bag next time.

I'm picky when it comes to coleslaw, but this one made the cut. I didn't use poppy seeds since I didn't have any. And instead of miracle whip, I used Hellman's Light Mayo. I do wish I had chopped the coleslaw up more, but that isn't a big deal.

Wonderfully easy and delicious. My husband is not a big Slaw guy but he loved it. How can it get any easier?! Defintely give it a try for a fast, yummy side dish.

I just made this coleslaw for the first time and without even letting it chill first I can tell you that this one is a keeper! I'm diabetic so I used Splenda (1/2 cup) instead of the sugar. Absolutely delicious!

I have made this several times and always get compliments. It is super easy to make and cheaper than buying a creamy coleslaw at a deli counter. I substitute rice wine vinegar and use celery seed. I also add the sugar to taste as I find using the full amount is a bit too sweet.

This was great! I'm usually not a fan of coleslaw, but I couldn't keep my fork out of this. I didn't have Miracle Whip on hand, so I used a 1/2 c of regular mayo and omitted the oil. I also added 1 tsp of ground mustard. Even better on day two. Thanks for this great recipe!

This was wonderful, just what I was looking for. I even cut the sugar in half, and substituted plain yogurt for 1/2 the mayo...still just PERFECT. For anyone who knows Chinooks in Seattle, this tasted just like their slaw.

I made a double batch of this for my husband to take to work for a fish fry. It was very, very good and he said the guys loved it. The bowl DID come back empty. The only two things I did different was to use Creole seasoning in lieu of salt and omitted the poppy seeds. I think next time I will try using a little celery seed. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness! Next time I'll make a double batch. It was just that good. I didn't change the recipe at all, it was perfect as is.

Very good slaw. I used a 14 oz. bag of cole slaw ... that's what my grocery carries. Still it turn out great. The only thing I might do next time is use just a little less sugar ... other than that a very good recipe.

Very good - I used two bags of coleslaw mix and it was perfectly coated without being too runny.

Very easy to make and very delicious. I used the advice of others and cut back on the sugar and used pepper to taste instead of poppy seeds. Awesome recipe.

I have always purchased the bottled cole slaw dressing and was always left underwhelmed, so I thought I'd try to make it from scratch. I can't believe that I have been paying $4 a bottle when I could have been making this recipe for a fraction of the price and be thrilled with the taste. I made it exactly as the recipe dictates and it was perfect! Just like what you would get in a restaurant.
