This slaw was good. Love that you can use the bag slaw mix thats already chopped. Did not use poppy seeds, didn't have them but did have celery seeds and they worked out just fine.

This slaw was excellent. I agree with most of the other reviews, cut the sugar in 1/2. Mine was plenty sweet using only 1/2 the sugar. I used celery seed because thats what i had. I will use poppy seeds next time. I saw in the reviews that many people were using mayo instead of the Miracle Whip. I think that would take away from this slaw. GOOD STUFF

It was a good recipe but it was sooooo sweet. Next time I would use mayo and cut the sugar down.

This is some really good slaw. Like most of the others, I halved the sugar and used Best Foods Canola Mayo instead of Miracle Whip (not one of my favorite products). I cut the veg. oil to 2 T and added an extra T of vinegar. It was great! It makes me remember a restaurant on the East Coast that was called Marblehead Munchies that used to have this great sandwich with tons of stuff in it including slaw like this. I served it with pulled pork bbq sandwiches and corn on the cob.

I tweaked this recipe a bit. Used 1/2 head of cabbage and 3 carrots instead of mix. Used mayo, celery seed, a touch of lemon juice, one tblsp more of vinegar and horseradish. This recipe was a bit too sweet. I know it sounds like I changed a lot, but the taste isn't much different. It tastes awesome like all the other reviews say!

Fantastic recipe; better the next day after things have marinated. Feel free to add a bit more cabbage since there's an abundance of sauce. We made using fresh red & green cabbage and carrots. Definite make again!

Fabulous! I left out the onion and used 1/2 a cabbage and a large carrot instead of the bagged veggies. I think it tastes even better the second day. I will make this over and over. We all loved it, including my 4 year old.

Great Slaw! I made as directed except using celery seed instead of poppy seed, as I didn't have poppy seed and read other reviewers substitution. Have made this a couple of times and it is excellent.

I'm not really a slaw person but my boyfriend is. It is his favorite side dish so I decided to surprise him. I've never made slaw before. He was still talking about the slaw this morning!! The only thing I changed is I used mayo instead of miracle whip and green onions because I that is the only kind I like. It was delicious! We ate the whole thing ourselves .. I am definitely spreading this recipe around...thanks!!

Just cut the sugar to 1/3 cup - do not add extra onions, as this will overpower everything else. Outside of that, this slaw is awesome!!

The first time was exactly as called for. Far, far and away too sweet, for me anyway. I now make this using mayo and 1/4 cup of Splenda. And, as others suggested, gotta have the celery seed. Would gladly have rated this 5 stars had the base recipe not been sooooo sweet. If you are using Miracle Whip, I would suggest you start with 1/8 cup sugar, taste and add more if desired. But this a great beginning and I hope all will try it. Thank you, very much, Sandi Johnson.

Mmmmm...delish! Like others, I used celery seed and it was the best cole slaw we've ever had. One note: use Kraft mayo instead of Miracle Whip and it won't be quite as sweet. ;)
