THE best slaw I've ever eaten!!! I make this all the time and everyone loves it. I use light mayo and noone knows the difference. Thanks

I was a little worried that it wouldn't get creamy enough but after an hour in the fridge it was fine. I like sweet slaw so the sugar was perfect for me. I did leave out the poppy seeds because I didn't have any on hand. I used mayo instead of Miracle Whip for the same reason. My folks, who are picky about their cole slaw, loved it.

I truly enjoyed this recipe. I too cut back on the sugar a bit, but not by much because I prefer a sweeter coleslaw. It is very similar to a well known chicken place only better because you are controlling the ingredients. I omitted the poppy seeds because I do not like them but left everything else the same. It will be my go to recipe whenever I need standard cole slaw! Absolutely delicious!

I am so glad I skipped the deli coleslaw for dinner. This recipe was so delicious! I did cut back on the sugar and skipped the vegetable oil. I am going to get some poppy seeds for the next batch! Thanks for the post.

I really wanted to love this, like everyone else. It was a 'nice' slaw. However, mine got really runny in just a few hours - I followed the recipe, except I cut my own slaw mix. Maybe that was it. I happen to love the slaw at the chicken chain, and I don't think this has the same zip as theirs.

Oh my God AMAZING! I made this coleslaw the night before and let it sit in the refrigerator and it tastes soo much better the next day! The only change I made was cutting down on the amount of sugar, I used 1/3 cup and that was plenty. I will continue making this recipe again and again.

I didn't have poppy seeds and used Light Kraft Mayo. I also added a shredded carrot. You'd think I gave the kids pizza candy or something. They've been raving about it all evening. My daughter saw me bookmarking the recipe just now as got all excited. I'll use less sugar next time. It did get watery, so I added some extra cabbage once dinner was over.

This recipe is so good, that from now on, this is my go to slaw. I served this every time we have bbq and everyone loves it. The only changed I made was use 1/2 cup sugar because it was too sweet for my taste if I use the measurement on the recipe.

Made it exactly as written the first time. YUM!!! the second time, the store didn't have the packaged coleslaw, so chopped up my own--it was very disappointing, very watery. Third time, back to the package-success! Thanks for a winning recipe

Very good recipe. I did take into consideration the reviews of others. I cut the sugar in half and used celery seeds. I also made 1 & 1/2 of the dressing. Very good...Thanks!

FANTASTIC! I even used lowfat mayo in place of dressing, and cut the sugar and oil in half! This is a definite keeper!

For starters, I used the full 1/2c sugar and Mayonaise, not Miracle Whip - Turned out Excellent, with the exception of being a bit too sweet, but still very edible. Bringing it with me to a BBQ Tomorrow. Next time, Probably reduce it down to about 1/3c

This was the best slaw I've ever made. I did use mayo and celery seed (didn't have poppy). I let it marinade for about 4 hours. I will never make another slaw, we loved this!

I prefer an vinegar based slaw, but this was pretty good. My husband loved it. I thought it was missing a little something. Like other reviewers, I substituted celery seed for the poppy seeds. Easy to make and tasted good; will make again.

This recipe is absolutely perfect, took it to a Family Reunion and everyone raved over it. Because my family doesn't like Miracle Whip,I used plain Mayonnaise, and that was the only thing I changed...it was the bomb!
