We made this for the first time this Turkey Day, combining it with this fantastic homemade pie crust here: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pie-Crust-IV/Detail.aspx For our very first homemade pie, I'm very, very impressed. Great texture, better than any pumpkin pie I've tasted. Love the sweet flavor. :) If I could rate it a 6/5, I would!

DE-LICIOUS! First time making Sweet Potato Pie and this recipe is really fantastic! The only change I made was to the sugar - I used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown. And, it took much, much longer than 55-60 minutes to bake it. I had to bake mine for 1 hour 45 minutes in order for it to come out right.

This recipe was very good...my daughter ask me to make another one after my guest devoured the one I made for thanksgiving....thanks for sharing. Oh, I didn't have any nutmeg so I used a little ground clove in place of it.

Very, easy and good sweet potato pie. I used other reviewer's suggestions. Used half C brown sugar and half a cup of white sugar. This recipe is almost fool proof.

I have tried a few sweet potato pie recipes from allrecipes. This by far is the best. I did as others had suggested and used 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar, added 1-2 tbls of flour to thicken and was much more liberal with my cinnamon and nutmeg (nearly a teaspoon). A great and easy recipe to follow.

This pie is out of this world!!!!!! the pie deserves 10 stars. I made a few minor changes. Just like another person suggested I added 2 tbls of flour to the mixture. I halved the sugar for 1/2 splenda sugar mix and an other 1/2 from splenda brown sugar. I added 1/4 tbs of pumpkin pie spice that I have in my pantry and never get to use my husband and guest raved about this pie. Thank you

I don't know why this was given such great reviews. I thought it was very bland. My husband topped it off with a cream cheese frosting and that pulled the whole thing together. He said next time he would add the cream cheese in the actual pie mix.

Was fantastic! We added some condensed milk to it and that made it even better! It was a little runny, so instead of adding flour we just added more sweet potato!

Never made Sweet Potato Pie before, and always wanted to. This was AWESOME!!! My neighbor brought me a crate of sweet potatoes from the field, I made 10 pies. Passed them out to neighbors, and coworkers, they all LOVED it. Did make a few adjustments to the recipe, I followed it basically. I used 3 large sweet potatoes, 3 eggs, 1/4 tsp. ground clove 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon, 2 teasponns of lemon juice. This was enough to make 2 pies (not deep dish). Only had 1 friend say it was OK, he didn't like the texture. But then he doesn't like Sweet Potatoes either.

I used half & half instead of the milk and split the sugar to 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar. And all I can say is wow! I tried sweet potato pie about 10 years ago and it was ok... Had some extra sweet potatoes around and the kids wanted to try sweet potato pie. This totally surprised me! Great recipe. You must try it!
