I halved sugar and used Japanese sweet potato. Still, it tasted good.

I don't even like sweet potatoes and I loved this! I made it for my MIL's birthday because she loves sweet potatoes. I used walnuts because that's what I had on hand and it was delicious. I did double the topping and leave out the flour as suggested by other reviews, I also added cinnamon and nutmeg. It was perfect. Very sweet and yummy!

I really liked this receipe. I did make a few adjustments. In my mix I added: 1/2 tsp lemon extract 1 tsp vanilla extract (instead of 1/2 tsp to even out the flavors) 1/2 nutmeg 1 tsp cinnamon 2 tbs all purpose flour (to add some consistency) 1/3 cup of evaporated milk (not regular) 1 1/2 cup of chopped pecans For me with the slight adjustments, this dish came out delicious.

Loved this recipe. Made it the night before and just had to bake right before my Mother's Day company came over. Made this with the wake-up casserole which I also found on this website and ham. Both the adults and the kid's loved this!

Very Yummy Sweet Pot. Casserole! I followed the recipe except right when I went to grab the vanilla, I realized I only had almond extract. I used the almond and the casserole was still yummy!!

This is the easiest and tastiest sweet potato casserole! I made it for the first time for Christmas and it was a huge success! My husband keeps asking me to make it again and again. Even my dad, who is a chef, couldn't stop with the compliments. Try it!!

This dish is really wonderful. I used considerably less sugar (they are sweet potatoes after all) and only one egg to about 5 cups of sweet potatoes and then placed in a 9x9 glass baking dish. The topping was more than ample for that size dish. If you use a larger dish, you'll need more topping, but then the dish will really be more of a dessert, not a side dish.

the most perfect sweet potato casserole ever. i added about a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and a pinch of cayenne for some spice and it literally sent it over the edge of deliciousness. but the recipe is amazing as is.
