A great standby. I usually use the canned sweet potatoes but decided to go for the real thing this year and realized it really wasn't all that more time consuming plus, you are eating all that sugary canned syurp!

My family has done a variation of this recipe for as long as I can remeber. It's great. Important to note that using an electric mixer is important for removing all of the strings from the potatoes, so dont shake the forks off. Also, if preparing hours in advance, dont't put the marshmellows on to bake. wait until 5mins before serving, stick them on and put dish in to brown for 3 to 5 mins.

Very good. I made this for Thanksgiving. It was wonderful. I added a splash of orange extract as well as the orange juice to give it a little more citrus flavor. I also didn't whip the potatoes, I just lightly mashed them because our family likes them chunky. Excellent recipe...will make this again - every year.

My grandmother has always been the one to make the sweet potato casserole in my family. This is our first holiday w/o her, so it fell to me to make the casserole. I found this recipe and everyone loved it and agreed that it was almost as good as hers. p.s. my sweet potatoes were HUGE, so I added extra brown sugar, cinnamon and butter to accommodate the amount of sweet potatoes.

I loved the ease of this recipe. I used garnet yams instead -- delicious! The yams were so sweet I could probably have halved the brown sugar or even left it out. The cinnamon gives it a delightful twist. Next time I'm going to try it if I just layer the ingredients instead of blending it -- just to give it a little more texture.

Great, basic sweet potato recipe! Tasted very good and sweet. It didn't stand out from any other sweet potato cassserole I've had, but this won't let you down.

My husband made this yesterday. I have never liked sweet potatos with mashmallows, but these potatos were good. Sweet potato size varries greatly... we used 3 pounds and it worked great. Thanks for your recipe.

Made this for Christmas and even the pickiest eaters loved it. One tip, I made it with drained canned yams to save time and effort. Delicious!

I really enjoyed making this casserole because it was simple. I used a pinch of nutmeg to add more flavoring. Will make again for Xmas.

A good recipe for Thanksgiving. Not overly sweet but just right. My family liked.. especially the marshmellow topping. My only reservsation about it was the time involved. It certainly would have saved some time to not have to cut up and boil the sweet potates first especially when your preparing a large holiday meal. But, the preparation is the tradition of Thanksgiving, right?

This was an easy 5. Very easy to make and it tastes just great. Not too sweet not to bland. I left out the marshmallows as a preference. A keeper for sure!

Made this one for Thanksgiving dinner, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. However, I did end up using about 2 tbsp more margarine and 1/4 cup more brown sugar. The OJ was a nice touch, although I didn't use as much since I didn't want it to overpower the flavor of the sweet potatoes. Also, this recipe calls for WAY too many marshmallows, I only used enough to lightly cover the top of the casserole dish!!! Will make again...with my adjustments.

These were good, but oddly enough, I didn't think they were sweet enough for me. I am fond of the streusel topping so maybe that's what I was missing, but over all I recieved good reviews for this recipe. I only used half of the package of marshmallows and that was enough. Thanks Stephanie.
