5+ stars. WAY TOO MUCH BUTTER needed to cook the onions. You could easily get by with a couple tablespoons. All the butter did was pool on the top of the casserole as it was cooking.

Major hit at Thanksgiving! But had to alter significantly. Cut the onion in half, and doubled the corn (adding frozen). Otherwise, just eyeballed the rest. Didn't have dill, either. Oh, and for an added bonus, pulled a roasted Hatch pepper from the freezer and diced that (with seeds) into the onion mixture after it came off the heat. Could use a 4oz can of roasted chiles, if you don't have any stored. Perfection!

I first made this recipe for my grandmothers funeral reception. I first thought this seems like a good recipe that would feed quite a few people. I certainly didn't expect to have members of my family and friends complimenting this dish and asking for the recipe. At a sad time, it was such a warm and comforting dish. I now make this for all special events! Great dish, great flavors, if your a corn lover....you found the right recipe...enjoy!!!!

Just made this as a side for BBQ chicken it was so good! I made some substitutions so I could skip a trip to the store and it was still delish! I sautéed the onions in olive oil not butter used garlic powder instead of dill, piza blend cheese instead of cheddar and frozen corn with a few splashes of milk instead of creamed corn . Plan to make again! Thanks for recipe!

Just a warning...this is a rich dish! I used skim milk, low fat cheese and sour cream, and only used half the amount of butter that was called for and it was still very heavy. My husband really liked it though. Next time, I'm cutting way back on the dill (for my kids) and I think I'll mix the whole thing together rather put the sour cream/cheese mix on top.

I made this dish for a potluck. I made two pans of it, both pans were gone quickly. I received lots of complements and requests for recipes. It's a keeper. I also chopped the onions instead of slicing.

This dish is great. My husband loves it. I did add some whole kernel corn and some applewood smoked bacon crumbled up and it turned out delicious.

I don't even know where to begin. I guess I wasn't expecting it to be absolutely amazing, but it definitely was. I brought this to a potluck and it was gone within 20 minutes.
