Was looking for a recipe to use turkey leftovers - this was easy and quick and good. I used the pineapple juice in the cornstarch mixture along with water to = 1 cup and chicken granules for flavor. It was evidently not enough liquid because the sauce turned out to be very thick - so I simply added more water at the end to thin it the way I wanted it. Also used 2 tablespoons cider vinegar instead of 1 tablespoon lemon juice for a little extra sweet/sour flavor.

There was too much liquid. I would leave out the broth (add a bouillon cube instead so you get the flavour). Also, for a more authentic taste use vinegar instead of lemon juice.

This was the perfect solution for leftover chicken and some veggies! Following others' advice, I made only half the sauce and found this was plenty - the perfect consistency for a flavorful, saucy stir-fry! I used shallots, celery, carrot, red and orange pepper, garlic, and pineapple. Really this dish was a wonderful surprise - even my almost-3-year old daughter ate a large helping! To anyone being spooked by other reviews: it's NOT an average chicken and veggies with rice skillet recipe, it IS a stir fry - and definitely worth trying!

We loved this, especially my 23 year old son! Did everything according to the recipe except the almonds (didn't have any) and it was just so excellent. Thank you!!

This was ok. I was looking for something to make with leftover turkey and after tasting it I think it would have been better with raw turkey added at the same time the veggies are being cooked. The recipe calls for drained pineapple, and someone mentioned theirs being "a big goopy mess" so I drained my pineapple, but kept the juice just in case. Once I added the turkey to the veggie mix, I too found it very thick and goopy so I just added the reserved pineapple juice. I would also personally cut back on the amount of veggies and turkey just a bit because there really isnt a whole lot of sauce if you plan to serve this over rice, I also found the rice removed alot of the flavor, I plan to do something else with my leftover rice and I'll eat the leftover sweet and sour alone.

I didn't think this tasted like sweet and sour at all. It was definitely missing something. I tried adding vinegar and that helped, but it still needed more flavor. We ended up pouring on bottled sweet and sour sauce.

Well, I'm sorry to bring the average rating down, but in the interest of fairness to people with tastes like *my* family, this wasn't good. I will say, I did not follow exactly as I used carrots, onion, and corn for our veggies, but other than that, I did follow it exactly. I can't explain it fully, but the flavors just did not go together well, and it was a big, goopy mess, that even served with rice was just not good. Sorry.

This is a pretty good recipe, the vegetables I used was onion, carrots, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and pineapple. The sauce is very thick so make sure you use all of the pineapple juice.

My husband and I both really enjoyed this recipe. Most stir fry dishes I've made don't have enough sauce, but this one had plenty. I didn't have any chicken broth, so I used Campbell's condensed vegetable broth diluted with one can of water. I had some broth left over which I used instead of water to cook the instant rice that we put the stir fry on.
