wow..cooked for 6 hours on low and added everything on the list. Pretty darn good. kinda wish it had more sauce but even so it was WONDERFUL

So YUMMY....we couldn't stop eating it and I'm definately not a 'bean lover'. As others suggested, I added extra bacon and also included some diced ham. I was out of ground mustard so I substituted it with yellow mustard (3:1 ratio) and it still tasted great. Thanks so much for this recipe, I'll be making it again soon!

The first time I made this I used black beans and white beans instead of the lima beans and black-eyed peas. It was so fantastic, my daughter asked me to make them again and took some frozen to her dorm. Since then, I've made them 2 more times, but with the beans specified in the recipe. Every time I got rave reviews and requests for the recipe. Thank you for a new favorite!!

This recipe is PHENOMENAL! I made it for a family gathering and it was a hit. Even my daughter, who dislikes beans, loved it! I can't wait to make it again...you can swap out the types of beans for others as long as you keep the sauce ingredients the same...simply delicious!
